Even if you have 100 3d glasses from your past visits, you still have to pay the £1.50 surcharge for 3d movies!! It's ridiculous

I was under the impression they are charging to recoup the costs of upgrading the screens

Cinema always dear, don't get started with the price of the snacks, people always go crazy on that 1.

Yeh and the 3D glasses, they don't even have any for children, they just all 1 size.

They make about 60p from the sale of a ticket. They have to make it up on snacks.

I'm pretty sure most cinemas have had to upgrade to show 3D movies, and I'd imagine that it costs more to make a 3D movie than a normal one. The glasses probably cost about 50p, the other pound is to cover the additional costs...

yeah thats what I hate that they dont do any smaller for children, they always end up falling off my little brothers face, and are too wide to stay on his ears, last time we had to leave his cap on and try tuck them under it lol, so won't be many more 3D movies for us.

its not just the cost, but the fact they are bieng taken home and eventually end up in the bin making waste and filling landfill sites.

i think 3d films are great, maybe just charge a little more (as i agree they cost more to make) and re use the glasses, like they do in lego land and thorpe park in there 3d shows x
