Bargain, one year ago was US$52.97

so as the rest Lehman brothers discounted from $74 to $14!!!

Company is going into liquidation. My m8 was working for them and all staff are being finished.

Look at any bank. Alliance and Leicester shares were fifteen pounds 12 months ago. Now two quid.

that even the largest bank could go under doesn't seem so outrageous any more, eh guys...?

EDIT: and don't think this is sad news at all - these are institutions built on greed, with no concern for higher values. This might even force them to reorganise around some ethical principles now that they know they aren't inviolable...

The sad aspect is the inevitible knock on effect for the rest of us.....

BTW, there is an interesting program on Radio 4 about the Credit Crunch now ....
