i ordered some speakers from ebuyer and when i track it on city link it shows that they tryed to deliver 2 times but they couldnt reach me. i am sure that i didnt hear a knock on the door when they said that they tried to deliver as i was at home most of the day. and if they do try to deliver dont they need to leave a card saying sorry we missed you?
so i called them today and hey sid that they have it in there depo and im going to collect it. does anone know if city link leave cards if no one is available?

just google city link reviews you wont be very suprised at what you will find....

here are some from ciao http://www.ciao.co.uk/Initial_City_Link__5287114

Yep, they always have for me. That said, they often seen very keen to get away, many a time they have already posted the delivery note and begun returning to the van by the time I get to the door...

They should leave a card - else what proof do they you have they turned up at all? I'd demand they actually deliver it. I'v seen em come straight down driveway and pop card in without even knocking a fair few times (and other couriers too to be fair). Bit annoying when you wait in for something!

i know. i checked the ebuyer website and checked what i ordered and when i checked the tracking button i find out that they tryed to send it twice. HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO KNOW THEY TRIED TO SEND IT???????

city link have gotta be one of the worst though.

I've had times when I haven't left the house and they say they tried to deliver it without leaving a card or anything.

They get paid if they have to come back out and most of the times it owner drivers so they will hope your not in.

yes they do leave a card

to be fair i would recommend city link to anyone mainly because ive had numerous deliveries by them and they always delivered on the day mentioned if not they would leave a card

had no problems whatso ever with them

I had problems with them last Friday. Paid for next day delivery by them, waited in all day, nothing by 5pm so called the local depot who told me their usual driver had walked out the day before, so they were using an agency driver who had just decided not to deliver stuff as he couldn't be arsed. I had to therefore take the parcel number provided and ID and go to the depot 5 miles away to pick up my parcel in time for fathers day.

the woman behind the counter even had the bare faced cheek to laugh when I asked why there had been no attempt to even deliver my parcel :x Made sure I got my delivery charges refunded though. Useless company, in my opinion !!

just check out that link on ciao, the majority are 1 and 2 stars, so it's not just one or two people who have probs with them, I wish ebuyer would use someone else!

Dont get me started with City Link, :x they are dog poo, the only saving grace was I did the say no to 0870 jobby. They run out of Exeter and I missed the delivery so the option of driving over 80miles to pic up my package. Then I re organised my delivery to my place of work and they got that wrong :x and so I have two cards saying ring this 0870 number ...I dont think so :x

I ordered a HDD from ebuyer and according to online tracking it was delivered last Thursday and ,because I was not in, a card was supposed to have been left. As I had received no card, I printed the online info and went to the depot where they told me that they had a 'shortage' of cards! I did not comment on this because I wanted my parcel which I was given after showing ID. :x

i whent to the depot yesterday. the place is so disorginised. i will avoid buying fromebuyer now because of this problem. i am going to complain about city link to ebuyer to tell them to change thier couriers.

every time I have used these guys I have had problems.

at one point they were telling me off because I wasn't in on 2 consecutive delivery attempts. I had been in, turns out they had been trying to deliver to the wrong address. They even tried to convince me that they had attempted delivery by saying "you have a wooden door - how would we know that unless we had been there?". I actually have a glass and plastic front door!!!!

lol me to i have a glass front entry door then there is a wooden door. they are cowboys i will try to avoid using them in the future.
