City v United......

OK since there has been a thread created entitled Spurs V Arsenal... rather than cloud that thread, I thought I'd ask the thought provoking questions and views from fans of both teams regarding the situation that has now arisen in a new thread.

So to start off.... How do the United Fans feel now they are no longer the city of Manchesters biggest club? Are their fears that City could mount s serious challenge on the football pitch to match the finances? Are City fans happy with this new financial muscle? Will it have an affect on your teams support? (Or turn them into another team to dislike like has happened at Chelsea?)

Serious Questions guys.

Banter is fun... but dont get personal with the replies. Please just talk about your views on where this will lead and add why you think it. Keep it clean!!!!

Yeah and only one play in Manchester, only one and have no debts and if Platini has his way and says clubs in debt cannot play in Europe anymore, you're in a mess lol.
It's bad management that sees clubs in so much debt. Lower league clubs, Luton etc have been penalised, why not the so called elite?
We had debt, but it was, iirc some £70M or so.
Yeah, we are in dreamland right now, and yes, you're lot still have THAT banner, and i am not saying we'll win anything this, or maybe next few seasons but you're lot sold your soul many years ago, and the Devil took it worldwide.
Prawn sandwiches, damn right, bitter blue but blue forever, even days of the league div 3.
Just remember, you play on a ground built on a swamp and during the war, played at Maine Road. You play in Manchester once a season, Blue Moon :)
What's with having world wide appeal when folks who live local can no longer afford to go? Don't make me laff

To be fair though, Luton filed for bankrupcy, which according to the rules means an automatic points deduction. Personally that seems ludicrous. How will doing that help them get their ship back in order. All its done is pretty much ensure Luton are no longer a league club after next season. Hey, I've changed my mind. All clubs in debt get relegated! :w00t:

Ah, but that was the question. Will City become the prawn sandwich club that you clearly don't like? Currently (outside Manchester at least), City are regarded quite fondly (or at least not disliked). How do you feel about the probably changes of popular opinion? We all know that Abromovich originally was going to buy Spurs and whilst that cash injection if done on the same level would probably have meant a few cups, I'm actually glad it didnt happen.

Based on what, you don't even PLAY in manchester. Do some research, you play in Trafford, whilst that is in Greater Manchester, as are many other clubs. Trafford has it's own MBC and it's own football club. Why not go support Ashton Town lol. One club in Manchester, you know who, we play in blue

Lol, i think i worked out what you said. And yes we do, but at least if we so choose, we could buy it, cash i guess, now, go and count some pennies and watch the interest mounting on your MASSIVE debts.
We won't do prawn sandwiches Guv, City have a hardcore of fans, i've been there, Colchester away, it's not fun or pretty but you get a club at birth and you have to stick with it, thick and thin, rich or poor. We'll never be famous, or have a comparable trophy cabinet, lol, not sure we have one, oh yeah, best youth team, full of British talent lol.
The future's bright, the future's Orange, witness are 3rd kit lol.
Not sure we'll be as unpopular as some clubs. We don't come out and whinge when we lose, sure as hell don't get decisions like today's "penalty" lmao but i'd hope we'd always be folks 2nd team :)
I am not gonna bite anymore on this thread, i only came back posting on here the other day, and now i remember why i had a rest, full of folks full of jealously, negativity and crudeness.

Yes, I'm aware you have a pretty good hard core support and currently don't do prawn sandwiches. I'm of course referring to when you do (if you start being successful.)

We'll it may not happen straight away, but if the spend thats being banded around is going to materialise, I'd be surpised if they didnt start winning trophies. I'm sure a trophy cabinet wont cost a fortune. (You can buy West Hams one - they don't need theirs!) :w00t:

Hmmm. If you did start winning, there would always be resentment (particularly from your red "brothers"), though it probably won't be so bad as most of them live in Plymouth!:p

Yes that penalty was atrocious. I'd have thought most in the crowd would have been worried Riley was stopping to book Ronaldo. Terrible decision.
