Sell it on here - but dont tell them the truth,
After the sale is complete- stop answering your pm's
Sit back and wait for the "ive been ripped off" thread in misc.

You can throw it in the bin - no come backs
You can sell it on for spare parts or unlock to resell
You can own up and report to insurance

One of those scenarios is going to give you no profit and no problems, ones going to earn you a bit of money and possible problems and the other no gain and possible awkward questions.
I know which one of the 3 i definetly wouldnt do and one that i probably would

Phone will be blocked anyway, just bin in. So much less hassle and that's all that will be done anyway, and it's registered as lost so might aswell get rid.

if they say that ill pass it on to my nephew who can use it as an mp3 player

Grow a pair and sell it. some people are too honest for their own good.
#19
Don't plug it on iTunes can trace ip

Apple log lost and stolen iPhones
#20
either sell it abroad or report to insurance company you have found it

up to yourself what you want to do
#21
I don't know why you are asking here. You know full well who you should be asking.
#22
usually the phone would be blocked so you nor anyone else can use it. Try a sim card in the phone, if it works then great keep it as a spare, if it doesnt well you have a nice paper weight

if they want the phone, i woudl ask them to collect it. Theres being honest and theres being stupid, dont fall in to the wrong class.
#24
Don't bother if i were you.

If you have found it, and you have issues, just don't use it.
Im not saying OH MY GODZ SELL IT OR USE IT! but look at it this way... Would the insurance company have it if you hadn't found it? No.
What difference does it make if you have found it and don't use it.

Only looking for potential issues to come your way.

Don't be foolish.

Hahah, what phone is it? Could probably shift the screen on eBay or something, or just use it as an MP3 player like you said before
banned#35
stuck a lebara sim in it and its got signal bars etc.
#36
Read the insurance t&c. If it doesn't say give back then...?
banned#37
signal bars dont mean anything, can it make or receive phone calls?
