Absolutely shocking from the club and all concerned should be ashamed.

Sad t see but was expected. His loyalty to players was just not rewarded on the pitch.
They would be relegated with him as nothing he was doing was working. Change in management
will kick the players backsides and hopeful fight off relegation.

Claudio will always be a legend not just for Leicester but to most football fans for what he
achieved and one of the nice guys in football.

Someone at Leicester has got above themselves with their expectations.

If an undreampt of Premier League title, and now through to the Group Stages of the Champions League isn't good enough, then Ranieri is better off out.

True fans of the club should settle for nothing less than the resignation of the individual responsible for that decision.

Disgraceful.

Pure nastiness

What did the bosses want? Two miracles in a row?

Disgraceful, I hope they get relegated now. Very unfair.

I would love to know how much money winning the premier league and qualifying for the champions league made the club, probably made more this year than the last 10 combined. I can honestly say I hope they get beat every weekend and end up in the conference.

Was about to post this.

Unbelievable!. This makes football a joke. Stupid foreigners taking over clubs who have no idea what they're doing. Liverpool and Blackburn fans will tell you all about that.

Leicester was always going to be battling relegation regardless of who's in charge.

Claudio did miracles at Leicester.

'Unwavering support'. I wonder what would have happened if they weren't behind him?

I think in total Claudio earned them a nice 250 million.

25 million winning the league
About 90 million on tv deals
Millions every time they progress in the champions league . 6m if they make the Quarters.

Lol they should have waited at least until after the second leg.

They have a shout at home against Seville.

Mentalness

Can't believe this :( shocking news. Really ungrateful of the club to do. Terrible timing with some huge games coming up, especially the 2nd leg.

No matter what he's a hero in Leicester and will never be forgotten. Sure this season has been awful but he didn't deserve it to be done like this at all.

Leicester for relegation please! Fortunately their next league fixtures are against Liverpool and a relegation battle against a team getting better form in Hull City

My thoughts exactly, dont tell me the board thought that the club would become a force just for winning the league (when all the usual contenders were so poor).

Absolute disgrace. Mr Ranieri is a gentleman and a fine coach.

Whoever made this decision should resign.

Players need to take a long hard look at themselves.

Enjoying their brand new renegotiated contracts thank to Mr Ranieri a bit too much.

Happy to see them go down now.

Ranieri is a true gent. Was a godsend last season when we have to put up with the likes of Allerdyce, Wenger, Mourinhou et al

Wenger is the luckiest manager in sport.

Wenger not won the league in 13 years, Ranieri won it 9 months ago. Guess which one got sacked?

That's the problem when you have an American owner like Arsenal do, only interested as long as they generate the money (champions league) and absolutely no passion for the sport involved.

Wow. Highlights the fickle nature of football. He will always be a legend at Leicester though, and will go down as the manager who pulled off the (seemingly) impossible.

Delusional, they have zero class and will now definitely be relegated and i hope they slip all the way and out of the league altogether

I could have had Leicester at 40/1 to get relegated this season. Had the money as well but I couldn't quite bring myself to do it.

I'm going to hate them even more if they go down ..

It's harsh , but the chance of dropping is there for all to see . If you owned it would you sit and do nothing and hope for the best?.
The players have been a disgrace but you can't sack the entire team . Take a chance on a new manager to shake it up is all that can be done at this stage . No sentiment in football , cash is king and dropping out the premier is unthinkable . Not saying it's fair but something had to be done .

But sacking him won't change the players. they will STILL go down, even more so now! if they wanted to stay up they shouldn't have sold Kante.

Leicester are under severe attack on twitter, they were lucky to have Ranieri.. hes > Leicester

isn't this how Ranieri got the job, replacing someone who almost got Leicester relegated? obviously whoever takes over won't win the league next season.
Would Leicester fans be happy to get relegated with ranieri in charge? or stay in that league with someone else in charge?
I personally don't think he should of been sacked. loved watching his interviews, a very charismatic man. he'll be a loss to the Premier League.

I support Newcastle for my sins and look at last season , hanging onto mclaren until it was too late . He had lost the dressing room , looks the same at Leicester .

Good for you. Hope you get it. I was going to go £20 quid on them but couldn't quite convince myself. probably because I ultimately ended up needing that £20 quid I suppose, but I'm just going to be sick if it happens - especially since I was so sure it would.

Yeah, of course... they won the league against all odds, he will always be a Leicester hero?

The players never turned up this season for him and should be held accountable. Vardy, Mahrez, Fuchs, Morgan, et al seemed to have got big contracts and done **** all

Bet Wenger is relieved that Vardy turned Arsenal down lol

It's the nature of the job and he will be well rewarded. And get another job worth millions . Crying all the way to the bank.

Think wenger needs put out to pasture . The system of playing 800 passes sideways and backwards ,before having a shot is somewhat annoying.
