Clothing size guide for different brands?

Different brands make their shirt size differently. For a medium size, some companies would make their shirts tighter than another company where a medium would be more loose. Is there a comparison chart somewhere that lists which companies make their sizes bigger/smaller than others?

It hard buying clothes online and spending money on shipping cost when it doesn't fit.

The only size guide I use is personal experience. Learn from the mistakes I've made with ordering in the past...

its true, nike clothin fits me in xl perfectly, but adidas in xl wont fit my shoulders at all. same with trainers from them have to get 13s in adidas but im a 12.

Next are terrible i think. Some trousers seem really baggy for a size 12 but then the tops are a bit the other way. Then Dorothy Perkins seem a little bigger in general.
As for going into designer wear then im affraid unless they have the L and XL then theres not much that fits me.
I would say at present i am about a size 13, but unfortunately they dont have that size

Yep it does annoy me when this happens , brought loads of small T-shirts from Diesel website to find out there way more like a medium.

In Topshop small & xsmall fit me

Happens with jeans to some i get 28" then others its 30 , why cant they just go by one standard size? its one reason it puts me off buying clothes of the internet

I have to learn what size clothes to get from what shop for my little girl as they are never the same - it's silly really!

Same here, I have a wardrobe full of things that don't fit cos the size wasn't as indicated.

I am a jeans-aholic but always try them on now

I agree with Miffy about Next - you need to go a size smaller usually to make them fit.
