Clubbing in Edinburgh - advice needed

Hi guys,

Planning a wee weekend to Edinburgh. Does anyone know where I should go for pubs and clubs?

Is there an area in Edinburgh that's the equivalent to Sauchihall Street/Ashton Lane/Merchant City in Glasgow?

Be wary of clubbing in Edinburgh the locals prefer baseball bats.
pretty sure there is a liquid in edinburgh, id reccomend it, they are always good
Loads of places but scattered about - try George Street for Opal Lounge and loads of pubs. Grassmarket and Lothian Road as well. Po Na Na in Frederick Street. Bannermans for live music. Liquid Rooms in Victoria Street.
Depends on what kind of thing you like. George Street (2nd street behind Princes Street) has loads of clubs/bars, but they're mainly on the pricier side. For pubs try Rose Street (1st street behind Princes Street) there's tons along there. Also the Grassmarket, plenty of pubs there.

Lothian Road has a few clubs, most noteably Subway, which is a bit of a dive but cheap. Plenty of strippers along there too, not to mention the pubic triangle....
We're mostly looking for more relaxed kinda student joint for some drinks and a laugh. Will look those places out! Cheers guys!
