easy way to tell if they are connected-amputate the foot with a sharp breadknife-if you still feel unwell,it wasnt your foot was causing it.

There is a cold virus doing the rounds at the moment so i'd guess it's that........if you are under 25 then your tetanus should be upto date.......if you are over 25 then the common consensus at hospital now is they don't give you a shot as it's believed you don't need 10 year boosters now days for immunity.

Yes, my GP told me that once you've had a tetanus jab you probably don't need a booster. Probably best to see the doctor though, esp. if you've got exams coming up.

I'm only 23, so i guess my estimations were about right!

I'll just sit in bed with revision notes! wait for champs league game no doubt. Cheers for advise

Seriously mate, go to A+E as soon as you can - Especially if you have an exam on friday - you don't want to miss it being stuck on a hospital bed - If you need to be admitted then it'd be better to be before friday so you can get a doctor's note :)

I once had a tiny cut on my ding, started feeling odd, by the second day i was feverish and starting to just a touch delusional, i went to the hospital, after being nagged, turns out I had blood poisoning. Nurse said it could have got much worse if i had not gone in.

Moral of the story, go to the hosp and get it checked

Sounds definitely like coincidence.

If your foot has any swelling or redness around or in your foot / leg. Get to a Walk in Centre / A-E ASAP oO.

If your foot is fine (tiny bit sore...normal), then coincidence, you got something else. Rest and look after yourself, otherwise not in good state for exam. Don't look for quick fix, medication. It don't work if you try to carry on hectic social life. 8)

oO my 7 yr old stood on a toy yesterday and cut underneath her foot too, well it didn't bleed massively, but sliced skin so it was hanging off, Hubby cut that off with nail clippers, But its so bruised today.
I never knew standing on things was so serious. We have no pets though, just kids lol

Hope your foot is better soon.

Everyone panics about tetanus oO

Rarely an issue. Tetanus is a very specific problem (lockjaw). The majority of people are already immune for life because had vacs most people under 50 had 5 tetanus jabs (most will not remember them ' cause they were done when a baby and at school, as part of the national immunisation prog). These jabs cover you for life meaning you won't get tetanus. However, if you have a major injury (eg burns and you end up on intensive care), you will get extra jabs just in case.

Tetanus has nothing to do with wound infection (this can occur to any opening to the skin, pin **** or major wound) has the potential to become infected. If the infection spreads a few inches from the injury, it can then make you very ill (septicaemia). But this is not tetanus

The most prone people to tetanus infection are women over 60 (men got immunised during national service or the army)

If you get a doctor's note before the exam saying you've not been well the examiners will take it into account when marking

Not true - I got given my predicted grade instead in english literature, which was a B. I got A* in 5 of my nine GCSEs... including the other English paper.

Stupid OCR.
