Collect Plus- Lost Parcel

Hi, I'm after some advice, its about items I sold on here and sent to the buyer via collect plus.
I took the parcel to my local collect plus, had a few probs with them but finally got it picked up from there after a week. I checked the tracking online and had seen how it had been refused many times at the store in which it was to be sent to, so I phone collect plus and they spoke to the store who said they were no longer taking part so collect plus re-arranged for it to be delivered to another store of the buyers choice. The tracking never updated online after being refused many times so I phoned to check the whereabouts of the parcel, they said it had been delivered to the new store on the 23rd Nov, and didnt show online because of all the refusal msgs.
So I notified the buyer and they went to collect it a day or so after and was told there was no parcel there for them, I phoned collect plus and they said it was definately sent there, I told the buyer this and that there was not much more I could do on my end, they said they will try collect it again and if no success would phone collect plus then (this was around christmas time) after hearing nothing more I believed the buyer had collected the item successfully, only to be msged recently and find out they still dont have it and collect plus says its probably lost so they need to make a claim, then I get another msg day after saying collect plus sent them an email and I need to refund them and make the claim myself.

What do you think I should do?

I have refunded a buyer before due to an item being lost by royal mail, but with collect plus I did keep track of the parcels whereabouts and made complaints to make sure it got delivered to the right store.

i would think that you would claim collect plus as it is their fault? what thread was it?
#2
Do you think it should be for me to refund the buyer and claim from collect plus, the thread was from last year lol its here http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/513244/fs-toys-clothes-shoes-and-two-pushc

I am considering a refund, but I just dont want to end up short and get nothing if the claim through collect plus fails, as with royal mail I only got stamps as didnt have receipt for the item to prove its worth.

And I dont know much of what happened on the buyer's end with the store, as only have there word for it, but they are a member with gd postive feedback.
#3
sorry got sidetracked going to read your thread brb :)
#4
what item/s or buyer did not receive there stuff as thread was requested to be closed so i am not sure who it was as that always gives a better idea?
#5
was the tomy story theatre and another clothing item was sent with it from another one of my FS threads.
#6
ok were the items sent together in the one parcel?
and also i cant see in that other thread how much was actually agreed? or have i missed it?
#7
yes they were, it was £5 for the tomy theatre item, then some jogging bottoms which were a £1 or £1.50 i think, then just the collect plus postage which was £3 something at the time
#8
i would think if you have proof and sent it and they have then mucked up it should be up to collect+ to refund the buyer?

exactly, and thats what was first said, but now the buyer says collect plus says I must make the refund then put a claim against them.

When I enter the tracking no. on the site now, it says 'Sorry, we cannot find your parcel. Please check your tracking code and try again.' I think I have a copy pf the label you print out with the barcode, plus proof of payment to them as was via paypal

They lost my parcel as well. Except mine was an xBox. Way over what they would insure for. On their tracking thing, it said the parcel has been mislayed. I was extremely ****** so phoned up the number from the website. The guy said that as it was their fault, they would cover the whole cost (£200)...They said to just write a letter in. I did that and got a call back from the refunds team saying that I was told the wrongt thing and that they could not pay it. However, I kicked up a fuss and the parcel was mysteriously found. I will never deal with them again!

You need to make the claim as you have the contract with Collect+ , its nothing to do with the buyer, Collect+ are correct you pay buyer and make a claim against Collect+

The thing is this has been since november, and the buyer only just old me that they haven't got it and that collect plus say its lost only 2 days ago, I dont think enough contact was made from them to myself. And could this affect me claiming...

You are responsible for ensuring the items are delivered to the buyer, it's not their fault if they have been lost in transit ( although it's not really yours either) so they should not be expected to sort it out.

You need to refund the buyer asap and make the claim yourself with Collect+.

I am sorry to hear of your problems with Collectplus, I was just about to use them but I think I will stick with the Parcel to go company, thanks for the warning.
#15
I have also had problems with collectplus, paid the postage, but 5 stores refused packages as the system kept giving error messages, never resolved despite numerous phone calls back and forth. Now fighting for a refund. I would reccomend anyone to steer clear of this lot.

So your still waiting for a new keyboard?
#18
I'm sure it didnt take them eleven days to damage it. I've seen them drop it on the way to the collectin shelf.

Collect plus are total rubbish, day after day waiting in for a parcel..... sick of there excuses ....spoke to them many many times, emailed them many many times and guess what still waiting for my parcel...... I would never have used them by choice ...... sellers beware DONT SEND THROUGH COLLECT PLUS (should be called "collect plus we deliver when we can be bothered") Delivery companies like that should be closed down..... So angry I cant tell you, looking to claim compensation after having to take time off of work. Work is something COLLECT PLUS don't no the meaning of ... bunch of idots

^^^^^^ Hey look everyone a new user who has bumped yet another old thread! You have made my day, thank you.
#21
I will never use Collect Plus again. They lost my parcel which was going to Southampton. It later turned up in a shipping container so I dread to think where it was going. I have received no apology from them. Yes they are cheap but now I can see why.
#22
I have to agree, collect plus is crap, I have been waiting for my parcel since 26th of september, it's now 7th october and I haven't got it yet, I have been giving numerous excuses, it's on route, it's not scanned, it's still at the depot waiting to be delivered, the website tracker is at fault.....etc, etc etc.

And this poor sod seller is waiting for feedback on his ebay, I can't give him feedback until I have the item in my hands and confirmed that it is what he described.

I advise people, there is A LOT of negative views regarding Collect Plus, do not use them, hell if ebay suggest them, DON'T EVER USE THEM, Ebay has never suggest good delivery services, if you want a company that delivers 99% of the time, use a geniune postal service like Royal Mail, Parcel Force, DHL, I ordered items after the 26th Sept and they all got here non were used with collect plus, all by RM or DHL, while i'm still waiting for this item from collect plus.

I mean, 2 WEEKS! that's an average of item coming from Hong Kong to London for crying out loud!
#23
There are bad reviews for all Couriers to be fair, Royal Mail is also poor

Not sure why you suggest DHL as good couriers as they are now Yodel which is Collect+
#24
Yeah, fair that couriers have some bad reviews........ BUT TWO **** WEEKS AND MULTIPLE EXCUSES WHICH ARE LIES, don't get that with RM, I've never had that with any parcel delivery, it's like they cant be bothered, anything recommended by ebay is the worse delivery company.
#25
and I used DHL a long long while back, I am awear of this Yodel.
#26
sorry, I ment Unaware of yodel, never heard of them.

Well, I went down to one of their depot's, what a **** waste of time, I got same excuse, having trouble finding my parcel and computer was on the fritz, I looked around while waiting, it is totally un organised there, were a few people waiting.

Anyhow, I was assured a delivery on Monday, was told to give my number so that the driver will call me as soon as he was outside, got depot number and the guys name so if any problems, I can phone up.

This is just really frustrating, waiting 2 weeks for a package, even RM wouldn't be that bad, AT LEASE YOU GET IT LESS THAN A WEEK.

H, everybody, wish I'd had the benefit of reading this a couple of weeks ago before I sent 29 parcels via collect plus. Thought I'd give them a go as ebay seem to endorse their service. It wasn't too long before the "wheres my item" began to appear in my messages and two buyers even opened a case as they got fed up with the run around they were getting with their local shop. I could see from the tracking that it had been collected, buyers said they never had it, the shop said they never had it and the courier swears blind he delivered it. To chop a long story short I have had to refund four buyers out of a total of the 29 items sent and left myself over £150 out of pocket. The Liverpool call centre are very friendly but totaly useless and having read the previous posts I am not very optimistic about ending up even. I think ebay should put a disclaimer on every page like use at your own risk. Verdict? 0/10 and back to the RM. PS, Wonder if the C+ heirarchy ever read these messages?
#30
I read up this is a continueing problem, I suggest that you contact the BBC Watchdog, no doubt you won't be the only one complaining, I already made my complaint about them, to BBC Watchdog, I have recieved my parcel by the way, 2 weeks AFTER i purchased it, that's like a trip from hong kong to london, I'm no putting it on every description on purchase of ebay, "PLEASE DO NOT USE COLLECT+ OR ANY OTHER YODEL SERVICES!, THANK YOU", It maybe cheaper, but it's crap, I would rather pay an extra £5 with ROYAL MAIL OR PARCEL FORCE, at lease i'm garrunteed 99% of the time will get to it's destination in less than a week.

Millions would disagree with you there who have had parcels lost/nicked through the RM.Basically all couriers postal services have there problems just highlighting one or two are not going to achieve anything, thats what you pay insurance for. Report them to Watchdog i'm sure Collect plus would welcome the free publicity o n a prime time slot. We all know the outcome if they go on there anyway it's yes there were issues but 99% of our customers have no problems, we are looking at making changes blah, blah, blah.

yeah, but come on, 14 days, YODEL has already been rated the WORSE parcel delivery company.

Look, http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews-all-251651.html 709 reviews , LOOK AT THE RATING FOR GOD SAKE, 1 STAR!!!, I would be more safer with royal mail.

Your right, every company has it's up and downs, but anything that is Yodel and is recommended by ebay, just plain has it's down.

customer WARNING. this has to be the worst service ive ever used, my items didnt arrive on time and when i did go to pick up the item i was told i couldnt get it as it wouldnt scan. in the end i managed to get it a week later, my other two parecls where lost by the company and they didnt have a clue where they were, they even had the cheek to ask me if i had and idea where they were and where they were posted from, something they should know from there so called tracking system, what a complete joke, they eventually found them and was told they would be with in a couple of days 9 days have passed and still no parcel or explanation. my advice do not use this service, you will only be disappointed. better spend your money on any other delivery service but this is extremely unreliable and seems very much like a mickey mouse operation.

lets see if they post my review

Glad to see I am not the only one having problems with Collect+. I ordered something through VERY (my first ever order) which they shipped the next day and I chose to collect at my local newsagent. For six days now the tracking system shows that the item has been out for delivery and unable to get access to the delivery point. It's the only corner shop in a quarter mile radius open 15 hours a day. They keep on saying they need to find out what the problem is from the driver with no luck. I'm going to get a refund from VERY but actually I wanted the parcel.

im about to send 200 parcels via collect plus.. Now wish me luck!

OMG how have you got on? I sent three parcels two weeks ago. One was no problem. One was marked as delivered on the tracking site but didn't arrive till a week after it was flagged as delivered.

The 3rd one is a Christmas present - £220 phone. Marked as delivered - no signature and nothing arrived. I have informed the police on this one as I don't know if I am a victim of dishonesty or incompetence. Or both.

I even emailed the CEO who put the Head of Logistics onto it and I've had nothing. Not a phone call or nothing. I've sent hundreds of parcels via RM and only ever lost one.
#39
These was all sent and no issues as of yet. I sold over 400 items on amazon in the last week and sent a lot of them using special delivery as they paid to upgrade and out of 200 specials only 88 got there the following day.. I now have to claim 122 x £7 back which is not bad but the **** wont send me the forms and I have to print them out.

I'll never use this service again, total crap!!,misrouted a parcel!!how on earth can you do that with bar code address labels, useless company
