Collect Plus- Lost Parcel

maimai

Hi, I'm after some advice, its about items I sold on here and sent to the buyer via collect plus.
I took the parcel to my local collect plus, had a few probs with them but finally got it picked up from there after a week. I checked the tracking online and had seen how it had been refused many times at the store in which it was to be sent to, so I phone collect plus and they spoke to the store who said they were no longer taking part so collect plus re-arranged for it to be delivered to another store of the buyers choice. The tracking never updated online after being refused many times so I phoned to check the whereabouts of the parcel, they said it had been delivered to the new store on the 23rd Nov, and didnt show online because of all the refusal msgs.
So I notified the buyer and they went to collect it a day or so after and was told there was no parcel there for them, I phoned collect plus and they said it was definately sent there, I told the buyer this and that there was not much more I could do on my end, they said they will try collect it again and if no success would phone collect plus then (this was around christmas time) after hearing nothing more I believed the buyer had collected the item successfully, only to be msged recently and find out they still dont have it and collect plus says its probably lost so they need to make a claim, then I get another msg day after saying collect plus sent them an email and I need to refund them and make the claim myself.

What do you think I should do?

I have refunded a buyer before due to an item being lost by royal mail, but with collect plus I did keep track of the parcels whereabouts and made complaints to make sure it got delivered to the right store.

Do you think it should be for me to refund the buyer and claim from collect plus, the thread was from last year lol its here http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/513244/fs-toys-clothes-shoes-and-two-pushc

I am considering a refund, but I just dont want to end up short and get nothing if the claim through collect plus fails, as with royal mail I only got stamps as didnt have receipt for the item to prove its worth.

And I dont know much of what happened on the buyer's end with the store, as only have there word for it, but they are a member with gd postive feedback.

yes they were, it was £5 for the tomy theatre item, then some jogging bottoms which were a £1 or £1.50 i think, then just the collect plus postage which was £3 something at the time

i would think if you have proof and sent it and they have then mucked up it should be up to collect+ to refund the buyer?

exactly, and thats what was first said, but now the buyer says collect plus says I must make the refund then put a claim against them.

When I enter the tracking no. on the site now, it says 'Sorry, we cannot find your parcel. Please check your tracking code and try again.' I think I have a copy pf the label you print out with the barcode, plus proof of payment to them as was via paypal

They lost my parcel as well. Except mine was an xBox. Way over what they would insure for. On their tracking thing, it said the parcel has been mislayed. I was extremely ****** so phoned up the number from the website. The guy said that as it was their fault, they would cover the whole cost (£200)...They said to just write a letter in. I did that and got a call back from the refunds team saying that I was told the wrongt thing and that they could not pay it. However, I kicked up a fuss and the parcel was mysteriously found. I will never deal with them again!

You need to make the claim as you have the contract with Collect+ , its nothing to do with the buyer, Collect+ are correct you pay buyer and make a claim against Collect+

The thing is this has been since november, and the buyer only just old me that they haven't got it and that collect plus say its lost only 2 days ago, I dont think enough contact was made from them to myself. And could this affect me claiming...

You are responsible for ensuring the items are delivered to the buyer, it's not their fault if they have been lost in transit ( although it's not really yours either) so they should not be expected to sort it out.

You need to refund the buyer asap and make the claim yourself with Collect+.

I am sorry to hear of your problems with Collectplus, I was just about to use them but I think I will stick with the Parcel to go company, thanks for the warning.

I have also had problems with collectplus, paid the postage, but 5 stores refused packages as the system kept giving error messages, never resolved despite numerous phone calls back and forth. Now fighting for a refund. I would reccomend anyone to steer clear of this lot.

Collect plus are total rubbish, day after day waiting in for a parcel..... sick of there excuses ....spoke to them many many times, emailed them many many times and guess what still waiting for my parcel...... I would never have used them by choice ...... sellers beware DONT SEND THROUGH COLLECT PLUS (should be called "collect plus we deliver when we can be bothered") Delivery companies like that should be closed down..... So angry I cant tell you, looking to claim compensation after having to take time off of work. Work is something COLLECT PLUS don't no the meaning of ... bunch of idots
