Colours to go with turquoise

I've got a ball to go to but wont be wearing a tux.
The OH is going to be wearing a turqoisy dress and me probably a charcoal suit.

What colour shirt / tie combo should i wear to complement her? as shirts are hard to match (by that i mean hard to find in shops in the right colour!).

Black.

Your OH should get the attention - be a gent and allow her to have the spotlight :)

how sweet to be thinking of this!

next you'll be worrying what colour socks to wear :)

I'm guessing "charcoal" is kinda grey and tring to imagine the turquise and grey together... you need a colour wheel I think!

do you have to wear the charcoal suit? is oh outfit turquiose or teal?
if oh is wearing teal then it would be nice if you wore a chocolate suit then the two colours complement each other.

What a lovely idea dressing to complement each other. My OH wouldnt have thought of doing that. In fact he wouldn't have showed any interest in what I was wearing and probably wouldn't have sorted his own outfit until the last minute. Lol that could be why we never get invited to anything where we need to dress up

Chocolate brown would go very nicely with turquoise.

Was just thinking of doing it as a bit of a surprise for her.
Thank you folks :) Will brown go with a charcoal suit?

What do you reckon regarding the shirt + tie combination, brown in there somewhere but what combination?

Rep left for you guys :)

I think they mean WEAR a brown suit, but PLEASE DON'T :giggle:

The NEXT suggestion was okay, though I think that would be a bit too much - maybe a light grey shirt with teal/turqouise tie?

Something like this, then you can wear a less obvious shirt (sadly OOS)

This one you like?

Get the tie then get a matching grey/silvery shirt - the link above has another photo where you can see the colours better, looks like a winner to me :-D

I do like the first one best, just in it's own right - but I do think the second one is easier to match anyway with a charcoal suit.
I am not sure what colour shirt I would put with the first tie as it doesnt have any grey/silver in it

i dont suppose you have the debenhams link to that shirt with the silver tie do you?

Yes, those are the colour combinations. Nice work Mrs Z.

The thought of brown/chocolate is just awful!!
