West Ham, they are always very helpful and will have no problems chucking in a signed shirt

Where are you based?

Ya know someone else mentioned those. I had written to them but not had reply BUT, Arsenal told me that they organise the signing of items the end of August, so i may get quite a bit from Footy Clubs then.....

Arsenal have come up trumps, so have Everton.
Liverpool refused.

if your doing an event, try the big supermarkets, ie tesco, asda, they sometimes donate food and drink items
banned#8
Not sure, if this is of any use but this little girl has raised a lot for charity in the Manchester Area:-

They take a while but they are pretty good, when I was in the Navy I had just returned from the Gulf and wanted to see West Ham but tickets were all sold out. So I sold the ticket office and said how I had been to the Gulf and gave up my season ticket before I joined the Navy etc etc was there anything they could do and they said they would phone me back.

About an hour later I had Christian Dailly phoning me telling me how they are going to put me in one of the hospitality suites to see the mach free of charge!

Have you contacted Marks and Spencer? They have a staff scheme, that co-ordinates charity donations, a group I work with received a matched donation last year for a charity auction they held, where M&S matched the money raised from the auction.
I believe HSBC and LLOyds TSB have a similar scheme.
Morrisons in the past have donated as has Woolworths etc, they usually donate a voucher or sweets etc that can then be raffled/auctioned to make more than value of the donation.

i see you got david and victoris beckham, how would one go about contacting them, would it be a long drawn out process

Maybe contacting katie price aka Jordan, as her son Harvey has a rare condition maybe she could donate some of her merchandise for you to auction/raffle she has another different stuff these days

Local restaurants will usually donate a meal for two.

Axa Sunlife
Swindon Greyhounds
Bath Spa
Bristol Relaxation Centre
Limousine companies
Local deli/butcher (got some free meat vouchers when I was fundraising)
Comet/Curry
B&Q donated us vouchers

Hey PC !
I expect you already have but the local newspapers are sometimes good to approach to do a small article and they will sometimes put "Donations to........." etc.
The free local papers are good also.

What about contacting the Student Union at Cardfif Uni and see if they do anything ?

Contact the trust and find out, maybe.

You could always approach local solicitors etc and ask them to donate something like a free will. Or a dentist to donate a treatment, with the lack of dentists that should probably sell really high!! :) Good luck

try the applause store for those!!

also try to approach PR cpmpanys they normally dish out stuff, sorry i dont know what your trying to do bit if its a big event try naming and shaming nothing better than a bit of guilt!! :whistling:

Dr Mr Sun editor blah blah sick children blah blah obscenly rich celebs refuse to give 30secs of thir time to sign stuff!! lol

Michael Owen always seens to give alot round here anyways, id try approaching the fottie players as opposed to the actual club it increases your chances by however many people are in a footy team lol

also zoos, sea life, alton towers, camelot etc they are always willing to give tickets etc
#33
Have you tried EON UK? They're pretty good with the whole social responsibility thing and, having sponsored the FA Cup this year, may have a few goodies they could swing your way...
Plus, with the recent bad publicity over the Kingnorth Climate Camp, they would probably be grateful for some positive publicity. Give them a go... :)
#34
Ring all the entertainment agencies - i.e Alan Phillips in Llanelli is one that often does charities - get the yellow pages and try and arrange for a charity night with tickets costing £3 - £5, the agentsoften arrange charity nights with expenses only to performers - I dont know where you are in Wales but if you pm me I can put you in touch with a few agents and the very best of luck.
#35
Yeah i think the key might be getting local companies involved , keeping it welsh. Tickets for something at millenium stadium. Maybe approach the disney store in cardiff for a huge teddy to raffle
#36
bod emrys
Get a staff member at barclays to help with your fundraising - all barclays staff can match-fund up to £750 for a cause that they help fundraise for, they can do it for up to 3 charities a year I believe.

alot of banks do this, somebody did it for our mums and tots group i think it was TSB not too sure tho
#37
cheers im gonna try those!
