I had a very bad experience with a hotel after booking through LateRooms.com and I have complained to both the hotel and LateRooms themselves. I received a written apology within a few days from the hotel, however LateRooms don't seem to be doing anything about it.

Does anyone have the email address of someone higher up in the business that I could contact to see if I can speed things up.

To give things perspective I complained to them on the 13th July, got a first response from them on the 20th saying they would contact the hotel, and I have yet to receive any further contact.

i don't think its late rooms responsibility. They are essentially a directory (correct me if i'm wrong) and the problems occurred in the hotel. You should have claimed there and then at the hotel desk.

I did complain at the hotel, but the initial problem was that LateRooms had not sent my booking through to the hotel. This had a snowball effect which resulted in us leaving the hotel early.

I feel that LateRooms are therefore partly responsible for that, and if they are not then I would like to hear that from them.

If you booked on a credit card (or Visa debit) for more than £100 then claim through them - they will chase laterooms for it.

Or tell laterooms you are going to do that - they don't like being chased by credit card companies and will settle speedily.

Did you get the email confirmation from Laterooms when you booked ?

Yeah we got everything from LateRooms like we'd have expected. It was only when we turned up at the hotel did we get a problem.

We had a similar problem with lastminute.com last year when I booked a holiday but the suppliers didnt get the confirmation from lastminute ...... luckily though I chased it up to check everything was ok after I'd booked it so it was all sorted in a few days and in plenty of time before we were actually going.

I guess where they're booking on your behalf there will be the occasional glitch - but whose fault it is could be difficult to prove. However they should have a tracking system in place to check that the hotels have been notified correctly and this has obviously fallen down here. I think it's dreadful of laterooms not to have better customer service in a matter like this, just sorry I can't be of more help in where to go next. Good luck with getting some response from them.

Laterooms are a disgrace. My problem was that I used the customer service to book a hotel for me and the service rep, who honestly didn't know where Frankfurt was booked me in to a hotel just outside Dresden 450K off target. I accept mistake can happen but as the mistake was spooted by a colleague of mine the night befor we flew, they claimed they had seleted a similar hotel to the one requested. The hotel I think was called the Rossijo and it was hidden behind metal gates (due to the area the hotel was in it must have seemed a good idea) I am not joking there was a needle (drugs) at the gate and a group of men just acting threatneing. The htel was a hovel a I pity anyone who has ever stayed there. We got out fifteen inutes after arriving.
Its at this point that Laterooms fail. Firstly they hung up on me three times that night and I spent over an hour on my mobile trying to resolve the issue. secondly, they did not, at first accept they had booked the Dresden hotel by mistake and thirdly and worst of all, they did not remove the hotel at my request.
I really hope nothing bad has to happen for Laterooms to do the right thing and stop unsuspecting people ending up at risk.
In the end they accepted the hotel mistakes were theres as they had recordings of the conversations but sadly they charged me for three rooms that were never used.
All I request is people try the other reservations site before they try Laterooms. I want Laterooms only to try a little harder before its to late.

Booked accomodation through late rooms .com to Wells in somerset, when we got there no room was booked said they never recieved anything from Late rooms for our booking, but i had all the details will never use this sight again ended up going home as we couldn't find anything else absolute shambles. First time using Late Rooms.
