I've got a long drawn out saga where i've been trying to chabge the address on my abbey credit card since the beginning of december, i've wrote letters had numerous calls to the call centre and spoke to managers.

the issue being they wanted me to go into a branch to confirm it, yet living on the isle of man we don't have a branch, so i was told to send copy of passport utlity bill etc which i did..twice

anyway, i finally decided to write to the complaints department, telling them i am now not getting any of my mail to my old address ( i am, it's on divert until the end of the month, but i'm not telling them that) and so i want this sorted asap.

Today i get a letter saying they will look not it, sent to...yes you've guessed it, my old address!!

I wouldn't mind but when i originally wrote to confirm my chage of address they sent me a letter to my new one.

totally awful compant to deal with, never again!!

I have major issues with Abbey begining of last year and after lots of phone calls, letter of complaint etc i decided to move my account, saving account and daugters child trust fund to another bank.

I hope you get something sorted soon, ill never use abbey again!

I've just got their new credit card and then got a letter saying ive still got one of their old ones. I dont have that credit card any more but can only cancel it if i can quote the expiry date AND security number off the back to confirm my identity. I told them I couldnt do that cos I no longer have the card. So they said I couldnt cancel it. I can however order a new card (and then phone up and cancel it cos I'll have the info they need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
I suppose the logic is if i have it I will use it so they make it as hard as possible to cancel it!. Luckily I have a very good relationship with my branch and one of the girls in there is going to sort it out

i wouldn't either, i wouldn't mind i've just took out a mortgage with them for my new address and had one with them with the old address so it must surely be just a case of changing over my details, every other company chaged it with did it straight away, no problems

ah well got a result in the end after writing to complain, got my address changed and they are sending me a cheque for £100 for all the trouble I've had
