Massive 300 trade stands over 3000 customers each week, this is on every saturday and not to be missed

Deal of the day there was a dell 2.4ghz chip, dvd-rw, 512 ddr ram for just £59.00

http://www.computermarkets.co.uk/bowlers.html - click for more info

Hi everyone, Basically I went to this computer fair saturday just gone and bought some brilliant bargains, and thought i should share,

I bought a 15inch grade A dell LCD monitor for just £29 - bargain
I also bought an externel freecom cd-rw brand new & sealed for just £3.00 - these were selling fast

they have brand new PC cases - gaming/alienware towers for just £15, they had laptops from as cheap as £60 specs 1ghz processor, 128ram, compaq presario in silver.

brand new optical mice for just a quid - made by Dell,

DDR 400MHZ RAM PC2100 JUST £25
LAPTOP 2.5 Inch drives 20GB £15.00

they also sold chipped ntl/telewest/virgin cable box's for just £80.00 and they were chipping all consoles for £40.00

(I say chipped, they are actually eurovox box's and starview, with enhanced features so they arnt actually advertised as chipped but they do show all cable channels, obviously if you bought one, you would have to notify your cable provider otherwise its theft of service).

Im sharing this knowledge because i think this will be useful to others on here.

Admission is £3.00

car parking available

Good info
I've been to that computer fair a few times before and picked up some great bargains

Well I dont suppose that is something they want shouting about on a public forum.

No doubt someone from Virgin will be reading this and will report it to their managament.

Would not be surprised if the next show has a visit from the boys in blue.

Never been to Manchester so cannot comment about there. But last few fairs I have been to have been full of obviously illegal sofware and dvds. Worse than car boot sales. Boys in blue probably avoid as they don't like paying £2+ to get in?

sounds like some bargins
#5
anyone know if they have anything similar in Glasgow?
#6
Bowlers and Pendleton used to be raided for illegal 'warez' all the time a few years back, I guess the profits are high enough to make the traders not give a ****

becareful though alot of the time they arnt MUCH cheaper than retail places like ebuyer etc and you have to pay an entrance fee 3-5 pound depending on the venue....

Alot of the stall holders are retail units so as well as the cost of there store rent they are paying for the table etc....so just be aware it isnt a "good" as it may seem :P

Hope this info is useful

"they have brand new PC cases - gaming/alienware towers for just £15"

That sounds like an excellent deal if they're genuine high quality cases and not cheap imitations. The rest doesn't sound like anything special, good prices but only if you're already in the area.

They are imitations ive had a couple in the past...i cant knock the fairs there is some alright stuff if you know the good dealers and visit regularly.....but there is some awful **** in there

seems no pleasing some people, I travelled the distance, fantastic place, great bargains alot cheaper than ebuyer, and all online places unless your paying trade prices, as at the fair they have no overheads to pay, marketing and stuff and this way they can cut prices as low as they wish

ohwell cant force anyone, but most certainly worthy of my money.

Ive been to computer fairs and radio rallys for years, always get my vote for hot prices and great bargains, the £3.00 entrance fee is nothing, i feel you'd make this back on your first buy.

Of course they have overheads alot of them are business that go to those places for there saturday trading so they still have to pay rent on there premise wherever it may be

And as i said i cant knock it, there is some GOOD stuff but they do sell an awful lot of ****/pirated/imported/ poor quality...u only pay what u get at the end of the day and remember ur paying petrol if ur travelling...and thats like liquid gold now!

ofcourse there is stall fee's but as far as marketing goes - there is none! and for other non business traders where they just trade here!!
Have very little overheads indeed.

this has been going years, people here had a very big hand in bringing down ITV digital a few years ago with the amount of dodgey cards they sold

agreed its a great place for geeky bargins.
