Confused By Royal Mail

Someone on here who I bought some items off of has posted the items via recorded i believe (could be special delivery though).

The item was signed for by a "J Someone" (cant make surname out) on the 4th of Dec, however from the 2nd till the 6th i was not at the house, but it is a student house. The other guys have not said ive got any parcels.

But what is even stranger is it states on the e-POD: "Printed Name: ANDRE WOODHALL"

Anybody any ideas?

Maybe go and ask around and see if you have any parcels? Maybe you just haven't seen the person who signed for it and they have forgot to come see you

The printed name bit is sometimes already filled out when I sign for recorded items, so that may be why it's like that?

Hope you get them :)

Also if its a student house find out who the person is. Cheeky sods stole it.

Well that might make sense then in reference to my name being used.

Well two of the guys say they know nothing, and the other housemate is currently in germany til next week and ive text him asking but not sure if his phone works over there anyways.

I hope I can find them to! If not only because i really wanted them (and paid asking price!) but for the guy who sent them as well.

Normally i'd completely agree, but us four guys are pretty tight...however when we had a house party some cash went missing...but might not of been my housemates, could have been an outsider.

Maybe ask the guys if they had any 'friends' around recently that might have signed for them ? ( and possibly nicked them ! )

i dont just go around accusing people im afraid! it might not have been my housemates, as someone suggested might be one of their mates which means they might not have a clue anyways...funnily enough if i didnt trust the guys i live with i wouldnt be living with them.

Wouldn't it be nice if delivery companies took photo's of the person signing as proof of delivery, that would be failsafe.

I am sure delivery companies are supposed to ask for id when delivering. I have rarely ahd things nicked at student houses apart from the last 2 I had, one was 2 playstation 2 consoles and games, one was a pc monitor, one was a £500 pc(that I got money back for luckily) and had letters "not arrive"

Rare is good, but £500 PC is ouch! :x
Yeah see I seem to be the only one who gets post, let alone parcels and packages, and as im the only one on the ground floor i usually get the door as well.

But now im a little stuck on what to do!

Phone them up and tell them you want to claim, you haven't received your parcel. The signatures not yours and you can prove its meant for you by the already printed name.

From Royal Mail website:
"We deliver items to an address rather than an individual. As such, we cannot confirm that the person you send the letter or package to is the actual person who signs for the item."
