Connect PC to Plasma

I wish to connect a 50 inch Plasma TV to a PC using a HDMI cable. Purely to watch movies and play occasional games.

I also want to retain connection via 2nd other DVI port to a 19" samsung monitor.

Can anyone provide a bit of info on any possible concerns and video card settings required for the plasma.

Needs to be more life-size :w00t:

If you're on Vista/7 it should sort itself out when you plug it in. Mine automatically puts the HDMI output to the highest progressive resolution available on the screen and keeps the other monitor as-is.

I'm interested in this too.
Should the sound go to the tv too?
I've done this on W7 and get a picture but no sound.
Are there any other settings anywhere to get the sound to go to the TV?

What about having it combined with a standard monitor, is it straght forward to select output for either tv or monitor?

It may not be that straightforward if you only want one at a time as I think the windows control panel would require you to enable and disable the other one each time you switched the primary display, there's probably a program to automate it though.
