I am being stupid here but, the 15-pin Display port where the cable goes into the back of my Pc monitor is the same as the back of my TV, so therefore would i be able to connect it straight to my TV without any other cables ? I'm clueless lol any help would be great. The manual for my TV is in the post below page 24 is about PC but like i said clueless.

Yes you can.

You will need to adjust the resolution on your pc accordingly though.

Cheers, what on the resolution would i need to change ?

i didnt change resolution on the laptop just connected it. I also had to connect the sound but dont know if this applies to a desktop?

Looked on a website, it said what the usual resolution is for PC to Monitor changed it to that and it worked.
