Right, I've had enough of their rubbish service and their even worse customer service. Haven't had broadband since Friday afternoon and a engineer was booked for this morning, who couldn't be bothered to turn up. It's just another example of their service and customer service being absolute pants.

Are Sky doing any good packages at the moment? I'm on a VIP package with Virgin and pay £85 for TV, broadband and telephone.

What alternatives could I go for (live in London) and what are people getting and paying from other providers.

Thanks in advance. ;)

I had the same carp from them. they left me with no phone for 2 weeks, had 2 engineer appointments, both cancelled with no word to me. the second time, I rang them and asked where he was, they said, oh the appointment was cancelled again, did no one tell you? I saw red, lol. told them no, i wasnt informed, could they put me through to cancellations immediately. I moved over to sky within 2 weeks.

sky have some decent packages, depends what you want though really. check out their home page.

i get all 6 entertainment mixes (including sky1 yay)
Sky sports (boooooo @ bf)
Sky max broadband, not massively fast, but does me.
free evening and weekend calls to 01 and 02 numbers. if you pay another £5 a month its free all the time.

About £65 a month i think

Glad that I'm not alone in this. What's Sky's internet like as I would prefer to get all the services from one provider. It's not essential though. Very tempted by their HD Box for only £75.

I found sky broadband very temperamental at first, then i found out i had it connected up wrong... lol since I did it right its lots better. I only get about 3.8mb's which isnt what they advertise of course, but it does me.
seems like a good deal for the HD box!

I just remembered.. if you do leave make sure you go to your bank and cancel the direct debit, i had heard of people having problems with virgin media and direct debits so i made sure i cancelled. Good job I did too as the snidy **** on the phone tried to say I had asked for the broadband to be left connected and they kept sending me bills. If i hadn't of cancelled the DD, they would have been helping themselves to my money.
