I was wondering if anyone knew of any direct phone numbers of how to contact Play.com head office or the customer services thats based in the UK ?
I've had a couple of problems/queries recently but have never been able to speak to anyone other than advisors based in the Philippines, and unfortunately this has never resolved matters.
I've tried emailing and never had any reply.

it's shocking, they read off a screen, and just say yes to everything you say, i dont purchase anymore from them for this reason

Exactly mate.
I've dealt with Play for years and when the call centre was based in Ireland (I'm assuming it was Ireland as everyone who answered the phone had an Irish accent) if ever I had a problem it was dealt with there and then. Now you end up pulling your hair out after phone call after phone call gets you nowhere. And then to add insult to injury they tell you to send an email and no one replies ffs :(

their customer service employees are puppets. They are very unhelpful and most of the time dont have a clue what they are on about. They do have people working from the UK, but they are only there for more serious issues

I rang before mate. You get either 3 or 4 options and if you choose none it puts you through to an advisor. I waited for an advisor who was a complete joke so I rang back.
Picked option 1 and got someone who was less helpful that the 1st person I spoke too.
Phone down and rang again, tried option 2 and then 3 and got the exact same person I got on option 1 arghhhhhhhhhh :(

the only way i got through to them was when i had issues with my playtrade account. Spent hours with the foreigners and 10 mins with the UK people who were much better.

There is no way they will put you through to that department unless you have account problems, they refuse to give you a direct number to them. Play.com's policies suck...they also refuse to call you back.

My advice is either know what you want, or get advice from other sources before buying from play

I'd definately look elsewhere from now on.

Does anyone know if the customercare email address gets through to somewhere in the UK ?

Play are a joke had four phone calls to them in the last week and half everytime told the same thing will contact the department by email which will take 24hrs then nothing.
Have contacted BBC watchdog but heard nothing from them although i think they might act if more people contacted them regarding plays poor customer service,
Will never use play again don't matter how much cheaper the product is.

stopped using now as you only get 28 day warranties on ALL their goods. Then the best you'll get is the manufacturers telphone number
