I got the email stating the product delay then i got the email cancelling my order

Stuff this i thought and away with the complaint email

( pricing error my harris " )
#5
Got my order delay this morning then the cancellation letter this afternoon too :(
#6
Well Ive sent them a snotty email complaining and saying that i wont be using them again. The fact of the matter is, misprice or not, they knew about it for weeks without cancelling and adding further insult by send a 'delayed' email moments before the cancellation email. They definately knew since they upped the price on the website on two occasions long before now. Not mention the fact that clearly some people HAVE recieved theirs for 17.99 :x :x
#7
Does anyone know how many people got their orders cancelled? I've sent a letter of complaint aswell. But it will make me think twice before ordering for Christmas and Birthdays now as I'm a fairly new customer. Do they do it a lot?

Taken from earlier comment :

Stargate 8 Cancelled
Seinfeld 5+6 Cancelled
Steven Seagal Cancelled
On the Buses Cancelled

Then there is also Guitar Hero 2 on XBOX 360 which they wont honor at the pre-order price (even when people passed on a cheaper offer via ChoicesUk because of placing preorder via Amazon) ... so YES they do it alot :x

First post - spooky enough On the Busses on tv right now - -can't remember it being in black and white - - - and Stan's mum being, well, someone else :)
Just joined the disappointed ranks of the 'none show' of this item - - my email to them :-

I ordered the above on the 2nd March 2007 - - only to be
told today, 14th March, that you had this priced incorrectly and so
could not have it at this price !! Why has this taken so long ?? And
why have these goods been delivered to some people, not others ??
I have been shopping at Amazon for quite a few years now - in
fact, they were the only company I would deal with online for a
considerable time.
I wish you to know that I will NEVER ever use your company again -
-yes, we all make mistakes but for you to wait almost 2 weeks
before telling me is a joke. And how you discriminate between the
people who received this at this price and those that didn't is
probably a question I will never get an answer to.

And they have just replied with this - - probably a standard reply :-
Dear Customer

Nuff said - - I'll get me coat - - -

ME :

I find it totally unacceptable that you take my order.
Leave it sitting for over two weeks. Then send me a delay
notification email in the morning, followed by a cancellation email
in the afternoon. I completely refute your claim of a 'misprice',
since you have known about it for weeks. Also some people HAVE
received the goods at the original advertised price, including the
single user review author. 'Mispricing' tactics are becoming more
common place on your website, and i am not going to waste anymore of
my time or money at Amazon. I am not happy with the level of service
you provide and i will NEVER use your website again. Please delete
my account details from your database with immediate effect.

LYING B******S :x :x

yup

im another one got the delayed item email , then the "weve cancelled your boxset" wrong price thing.

i have complained, by saying if a shop had an item with an incorrect price on it would still have to sell it to me at that price, does this not apply to amazon ?

i have threatened them with bbc watchdog..i suggest others make the same threat....

surely they cant just reneg on the deal once you have clicked submit, and recieved an email stating how much you pay ?

just keep complaining, they must just do something to get everyone off their backs?? no ?

i dont mind emailing everyday, if it means theyll send the bloody dvds, or give me som e gift vouchers for my time and trouble:santa: merry xmas lol
#13
the order has disappeared from my account but no email to say misprice, ******s offered me £5, not letting this one go as others have been delivered, when i ordered said 13 in stock
#14
I understood about the Disney box set deal (mind you some did get their dvd's) and I've had 3 other orders cancelled because of so called pricing errors.

I can't understand why one minute it was a delay and the next a misprice. Seems they have a lack of communication and customers service skills!!

Just hope they lose a lot of customers.
#15
How come some people have been offered 5 pound vouchers and others havnt !??!?
#16
They have canceled mine also. I also received the delay email and then the canceled one. I'm also sending a snooty e mail.
#17
This was my response to my 'snotty' email

.... and yes, they have had a reply to this!
#18
Exactly the same here. First the delay email and then the cancellation. Bog standard reply from Amazon cs too.
#19
Ive sent them 2 emails complaining about this today.

I cant tell you how annoyed I am, about it.

I find it hard to beleive it was a mis price, when there was a red circle on the page saying (82% discount)

Mis price my arse,

Can someone organise a boycott of their site, or create a petition we can all sign, that gets sent to watchdog!
#20
Me too, delay email then cancellation email within minutes of each other.
Not happy.
#21
I have sent them 2 emails, just waiting for a reply from the second one
#22
Point is, if it was a 'misprice' then they knew about it ages ago when they put the price up to 69.99 and then again later to 79.99 !!! Yet rather than inform us at that time, they kept us waiting weeks, then sent 'delay' email before cancelation email. They also deny that anyone recieved it at 17.99, when this is clearly not the case :x

Looks to me like Amazon Jersey were selling at that price, they took too many orders, and decided at the 11th hour to cancel all outstanding orders. Rather than have Amazon UK despatch the orders on their behalf...

All I can say is B******KS to me being 'patient' and 'understanding' cause I am not, so dont frigging patronise me Amazon :x
#23
One of the unfortunate too :x

I've sent them a nice e-mail with respect to delays. See what happens.
#24
I have sent them three now and I will keep sending them until I get a satisfactory response from them
#25
Notice how its still available within 5-8 days though.. If you pay £79.99
I say we burn down their warehouse
#26
That action may be considered a touch hostile. Understandable, but hostile all the same...

This might come in handy. :whistling:
#28
Whats the email address, i couldnt find one ??
#29
I just filled in that Watchdog form and sent it...I suggest everyone else does as power in numbers...

And I keep sending emails to Amazon until I get a satisfactory answer....:x
#30
They just sent me this after an e-mail complaning about there service.

#31
Welcome to HUKD craigeeee
#32
At least they are letting you, Im still demanding that they remove my account details from their system. But all I get is the same 'patience and understanding' patronising email from them. :x
#33
Fill in the Watchdog form on the previous page...
#34
I have also had my order cancelled and am interested to read so many here have had the same done to them. I also emailed Amazon and received the same standard reply as many. I pointed out that it was discrimatory in that they are honouring some orders but not others and like many others pointed out the customer review on their site proving that they had sold it at that price. Interestingly I have just checked the site and found they have now removed the review very silly since so many people have already seen it. I also made a point of copying it as I suspected as much from them. Just makes them look more underhand really. Has anyone contacted trading standards at all? or had any replies from watchdog?
#35
My account with them liars is closed now as well.
Had the confirmation email off them today
#36
i would say you guys all got lucky:giggle: joke
#37
Mr Farquar
I have also had my order cancelled and am interested to read so many here have had the same done to them. I also emailed Amazon and received the same standard reply as many.

Got a reply today but it did differ slightly however from the "standard" reply given here but just a different way of saying the same :-(
#38
I am still waiting for a reply to an email I sent them last night
#39
amazon have sriously upset alot of honest hardworking people
i am disgusted at the way we have all been treated
i ordered mine almost 2weeks ago when first posted but why has it taken an eternity for mine and hundreds of others to be cancelled , its an ABSOLUTE DEBACLE !!!!!!
this must be an illegal move by amazon , surely
Going the route of complaining to amazon is wrong as they will just sweep you aside and send you a patronising reply as i and many others have found out
We should all complian to bbc watchdog as stated in previous post.
they will pack a much bigger PUNCH than all us mere mortals put together.
I will like to see amazon try and push watchdog aside like dirt on the bottom of there shoes as they have done us !!!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK everyone !
#40
What's the point of getting so worked up about this?
Amazon do this kind of thing all the time, they had cancelled at least 8 of my orders last year. I have not used them since and I have no intention of using them again.

DSG do the same.

Show your anger by using the 'back button' and not buying from them again.
