Contract phone for daughter ? - advice plzz

Hi all, my daughter doesnt ever ask for much, infact shes one of those children who doesnt ask for anything. ( she thinks its rude)
However i get the feeling she would like a new phone, ( like her friends in school)
The one she has now is ok, has bluetooth etc on it, its on pay as you go.
My daughter whos 15 uses her credit which is why i dont put credit on it very often.
Ive been toying with the idea if getting her a phone on contract but ONLY if there is a type of deal that when she uses all her monthly airtime and texts it does not let her to continute to use... I couldnt cope with what the bills would be if she was let loose.

Part of me thinks nah tough shes got her pay as you go and should learn not to use the top up so quick, then another part of me understand shes prob having peer pressure.

So, if anyone knows if there is a deal which she could have. One which, after she uses all her monthly useage it would block until the following month. Does this make sense? lol

yep my daughter has the same...and she gets better upgrades than me(I pinch them-lol) she has never topped up as she gets 30minutes and 500 texts like sassies daughter. I have half price line rental staff discount anyway but i use the upgrade to offset the cost(she doesnt have the best phone out, as she is pretty spoiled anyway!)
I find its cheaper than pay as you go anway...just shop around for the best deal cashback wise?
If you just want a handset TJHughes have the sony ericsson k800i nd i saw it today i think it was £59 or £69?

What network is she currently on?

With O2 Pay-as-you-go you can get either 500 free texts or 150 evening and weekend minutes a month when you top up £15. Plus if you transfer the number from another network they will give you an extra £5 credit for the first 6 months (total £30).

You can also get 10% of your top ups back every three months using O2 rewards.

Its not quite contract, but will mean she can't go over the balance, and gets free texts (or minutes)

you pay the rental monthly then on certain ones they have cashback deal, mine i send in bills 4, 8 and 12 and get £80 cashback each time, making the phone and rental £5 per month

i have two lines on the same half price rental and the upgrade on may was sony ericsson k850i both had free digital photo frames by redemption-coupon on the sleeve. I cant understand why you dont get a good offer but the other account-my phone and o/h-we never get a good offer...weird! even when we asked to cancel!

Sounds like you got it sussed though so its a good one to do:thumbsup:

when you go to these down the right handside click on them to see what the offer is, but usually all 12 month deals you have to claim at month 4, 8 and 12, i send them as soon as they are through the door, just photocopy bill and send off, i see there cashback states 6, 10th, 14th and 18th, but there cashback is 4, 8th and 12th, must be a glitch on their site

yeah seems a bit of a bug in the system, all 12 month cashbacks are 4, 8 and 12, it is a 12 month contract not a 18 month one, like i said a glitch

yes, but you can also get £60 tracked through quidco (remember to delete all cookies and do not phone them about anything, the deal has to be done through quidco) and also if you have old phone tick trade in box and can get £20 trade in for hone, box and charger, so theres another £80 back, also they wont send you an envelope to send trade in phone back but do not phone them this may invalidate your quidco payment, i have a freepost address for you
