I look after a young man with learning dificulties. He loves gardening and painting. My garden has never been so tidy and my house is looking nice! hes got a cracking flat on the harbour, and i get to drive him arround in a brand new 09 plate for fiesta! i get paid £19,000 a year for 40 hours a week plus arround £3,550 for the sleep in shifts! The average pay where i live is £6.50 and hour!

Love my job - am a SENCO at a secondary school working with kids with learning difficulties and emotional and behavioural problems. Love seeing the way that education can make a difference to someone's life.

Love mine as a receptionist for 5 different firms, get to meet lots of people from different backgrounds and all over the world. My boss is the nicest bloke you could ever meet and everyone gets on so there is no bitchiness.

I have been a full time house husband for the last 6 years and have loved every minute of it but need a job now. I canr get one how ever hard I try. Been turned away from 2 agencies due to them saying I am long term unemployed and companies will not be interested. I can't sign on as I am not entitled to it. My fork lift licence needs refreshing as I have not used it for a while and can;t get a driving job because I do not have driving experience even though I have been driving 20 years.

Apart from that I love what I do:thumbsup:

your all angels

never really been in hospital for anything SERIOUS but when i have had to stay in i always tried to not bother nurses etc as i seen some of the rubbish they had to put up with from others,

thats 1 job thats defo not done for the money and takes special people to go into that line of work not selfish ones

i work in a care home for adults with learning and neurological disabilities. most days i dont like it due to the hours but some days its a good laugh and the staff are great

Not all angels

But I love my job. No two days are ever the same.

I worked in an office once when I became disillusioned with the NHS. I lasted a month.....almost suicidal when I left.

most are angels apart from some of the old school nurses who trained years ago when it was easier and feel they are stuck in a job now...lol
But the majority of us are selfless and love our jobs....i certainly dont do it for the money but because of the job satisfaction. Most patients are lovely but yes you do get some the odd few!!I have been hit quite a few times and sworn at but i still go home smiling and wanting to go back next day.

thats why you are angels

shouldnt have to take that sort of abuse, even injured animals know (norm)when they need help and are passive

Well they don't come much more old school than me. Aged 50. Believe me, the public...........as nice and sometimes abusive as they are (rare), is far better than mundane 9-5 office alternative I took for a brief period of my career. I could not work without contact with public. I work with a great team and we all support each other. You cannot do this job in isolation

I don't like my job that much but it pays VERY, VERY well.

:)

Royal Air Force, Weapons Engineer. (Means I get to blow things up legally from time to time)

Love most days, but it does have it's moments. Looking forward to working for the Army from September!

Nice, I heard it pays well.

I just got in from work ( its half hr after midnight on a saturday). I'll be tired in the morning.

At times I love my job, at times I hate it, sometimes i'm just tolerating it.

What I wouldn't give to be able just to stay home with the kids and enjoy being with them.
