No, sorry.. Best bet is to rip them to an external hard drive and watch them from that

not sure if you can do that but you can save them to a memory stick and watch them from that, they will have to be in a file it recognises though like div-x.

just use a video converter after you have burned them to your pc, some people download them and they are already in a nice usually 700mb sized file you can play straight away;-) sorted:thumbsup:

If it were possible, he would need a large hdd.

My suggestion, would be to rip and burn copies of the dvds and keep the original safe.

Or download the above mentioned 700mb to 900mb files and you can fit 6 on a disc, but to play them on his xbox he will need to have it online and download a small patch. It will download automatically if he puts a dvd with avi files in. And its on xbox live ofcourse

I would imagine that being a kid thats using it, a few blank dvds with 6 films on each or whatever would beat a pricey 640gb hdd.

I know what i would be letting my kids use :whistling:

1TB HDD, but its a NAS device so you plug it into home network and the xbox accesses it via the network

basically means NAS safe near desktop? router? etc but out of reach of the kids :)

If xbox and pc/laptop on same network, rip films to pc/laptop and your son can access them from the pc via his xbox through the network...i often let my little lad watch films that are on my pc through my xbox.

Or that, great call.

Is both your PC and XBOX wired to the network. Or both wireless?

I had issues, the one time I tried and used my portable HDD instead, with the PC wireless and the XBOX wired.
