Anyone used it? Dentist recommended it to me today, however some research online has said that it makes your teeth turn brown. Bit worried about that. He said about using it for a month until my next appt - in Feb. I have sore gums - and they are receeding. Dentist said build up of plaque

u have to get used to it. it really works amazingly well. ive used it for a few weeks running. didnt make my teeth go brown. but it did wonders for gums and all.

IMO its best used occasionally . I certainly wouldn't use it daily, its pretty powerful stuff. Pink ones horrible but the mint one is not so bad.

It tastes disgusting, but seems to work really well. Didn't turn my teeth brown. Think they do a very slightly less gross version now.

My mums dentist (who is also a friend) suggested to my mum to try some natural products first for receding gums. She reccomended using Aloedent, natural aloe vera based toothpastes, mouthwashes etc

It may sound yuk, but it isn't, there is tea tree oil (natural antiseptic) and peppermint oil in it, so it has a nice minty taste. I started using it myself even though I have no problems with my gums.

Here's a link to an old post for Trust William, this is where I buy mine

Its just a suggestion for something else you may wish to try or look into :)

my dentist tells me to use Listerine - Corsodyl tastes disgusting and leaves a funny after taste - although Listerine stings my tongue bar area like a doodah and I have had it pierced for over 2 years now - can't win!! - GL finding one that works for you :)

I use Dentyl Mouthwash not because of any underlying problems but because it's not like some others that have that sting in them when you gargle and it has wee bits that stick to your tongue keeping it fresh longer, well up until my morning break at work.

It's the one u have to shake

use what the dentist tells you to use.

and use it the way he tells you.

stains brush off if you brush properly.

if bad staining occurs teeth can be polished at the dentists.

corsodyl has a strong taste but you get used to it.

decent product which does what it's meant to do.

LISTERINE!!!

Stay away from that stuff. My dentist told me that you would be better off rinsing with caustic soda instead of that stuff.

it does taste disgusting and everything you eat for the next 6 hours tastes of it but teeth are super clean once you use it for a few days you will notice the difference, shame its so damn nasty

i use corsodyl mouth wash and i use there tooth paste, i get the green bottle versions

as they are close enough to mint,

dentists only prescribe the aniseed flavour
