perfect for families , most bars shut at 12- 1 am. So you dont get the 20 somethings on the island just out to get drunk as fats as they can.

My MIL been to fuerteventura about 6 times now and 3 times shes chosen to go to caleta de fuste.

Lovely swimming pools on site for kids, depending on season you may get ants. We had them worse in out apprtment than MIL did next door, so i advise take some nippon from home but it on all windows and doors when you get there and you should be fine.

You do know seeing cockroaches is a given, the appartments are spotless, so your unlikely to see them there but you will see them all over the resort. Dont ever step on them as they drop their eggs as they die and these be on your shoes and you will then spread them wherever you go.

THe entertainment is pure cheese, but if you get any of teh reps that were there 2006 you gonna have a ball. If you got a portable DVD player you can take i would with the scart adapter thing, we found this a god send to link up to the TV for our LO last year as early afternoon the wind just drops and its very hot, too hot to do much other than swim or chill out

We went last week in October and weather was scorching, but would have a shower every afternooon.
Went in August last year to Corralejo and was toooo hot.
AI is best way to go with kids as even sausage and chips is different abroad, so if they dont like they can try something else. Theres themed restaurants on site you have to book for in the evening. We enjoyed the chinese one best as was so nice to have a change from what you got in the restaurant..

We were there for christmas. It's a great place but it is a bit cheap and cheerful. A few places sell breakfast for 4 euros and lots of sports bars... Not what we were looking for. But there are small kids play areas everywhere- which is good. We stayed in the big place at the front- cant recall the name but Barcelo own it. Let me know it if's there you are staying. And the canaries are suffering flood damage just now, of course.
