Hi does anyone know how you join costco? I have looked on their website but can't find any lists of people that can or can't other than if you have your own business??

Thanks

Hi,
I joined Costco a few weekes ago as Trade member for 23 pounds.
For personal member ship you will require any two utility bils for address proof and identity.
Cost of membership is almost the same.

They also have some executive membership but it will come around 50+ where you can save 2% of your buy. only good if you buy more than 1500 pounds an year to make a breakeven!

Cheers,
Aroul

You can't join online. Do as advised instore. It will only take a few minutes.

This better than Makro?

It is better than Makro but not as good as the likes of Bookers etc.
Also not just everyone can join. You need to either own a business, or, work for a Government organisation or local authority such as NHS workers, teachers, police fire service etc. The ordinary man in the street cannot join.

They have a list of occupations and it does seem to cover many many people - and I don't recall ever giving proof of evidence of who I worked for. I haven't been a memeber now for around 5 years so could have changed

our employer joined as a business but then bought extra membership cards for employees at about £15 a go

Hi thanks for the info, I have just rung my local costco though and they said you can't join as a personal member unless you work for a specified company or do a specified job.. neither of which apply to me - I just wondered if there was any chance of just joining as a personal member but it appears not :(

I've had cards for Costco, Makro and Bookers.

I thought Bookers was the naffest TBH.
