Hey all, an idea.

For example, our shopping basket, like basics, milk, sugar, bread, bog roll.

You can save loads just shopping around, for example, toilet roll is usually £2-3 for 9 rolls in somerfield, where it is usually £5-6 for similar quality in Tesco.

Things like fresh chicken, always cheaper in somerfield to others.

I would love a service where I could post or text the price of a specific product, and then have it emailed to me where it is the cheapest week on week?

Any ideas?

EXCELLENT, just what I was after!!

If there was a category for EVERY product group. Well, not specialist items, but the things we buy the most?!

Yer but I dont think this to be that accurate?

And dont you have to go through a load of rigmarole to get what you want.

No you just make a shopping list and it picks the best place to shop from. It depends on how you shop i guess, i used to trawl around all the small shops and supermarkets to get all the best deals but i just don't have the time to do that anymore. Do you want this list to do a big weekly shop or grab the bargains as and when ?...either way it's going to be a "rigmarole"...

i would love to be able to do the bargain hunting again :-D i am fortunate enough to live nearish to Bury market that has good fresh meat and locally grown veg sold at amazing prices and beats the quality of any supermarket hands down, but i don't drive so a shopping trip would take half a day involving a bus and then a tram ride there and back and at the moment my weekends are too busy to waste on food shopping.
