more pc gone bonkers ..whats the world coming to ..

Parents were banned from taking photographs of their baby daughter on a swing by a park warden who said it was "inappropriate".

Steve Brook and partner Mandy Smith were having a day out with 11-month-old Rebecca when the council worker came to talk to them.

The fact that a mummy and daddy can't take a picture of their own daughter is ridiculous. I could understand if it was in a swimming pool, but she was well wrapped-up and as far as I could see we were the only people in the park. Said Steve.

Absolutely ridiculous.

It's sad, The truth is that 99.9% of the world are not perverts, Lot's of parents are scared of taking photo's of their own children in case their labelled "pervert". Why should we suffer because the minority of the sicko's in the world?.

Def not the first case I've heard in relation to this. Remember something exactly the same last year.

Absolutely ridiculous and surreal. shauneco hit the nail on the head.

I'm hardly at the stage of my life where I want kids but if me and my partner decided we wanted them at some point down the line - like everything in life, I'd cherish them and take PLENTY of photos as the things we care most about warrant keeping on record forever.

Parents out there - could you imagine the audacity of someone approaching you and your husband/wife and accusing you of being pedophiles for taking pictures of your child(ren) playing? CHRIST!

Town hall officials said the warden had misinterpreted council policy when he confronted the family at Alexandra Park in Oldham.
A council official said: "We are committed to ensuring that all our parks are safe and welcoming places for all visitors. To ensure this happens staff are instructed to be observant and aware of the activities of park users and consider whether they are appropriate.
"This incident was due to the incorrect interpretation of policy by a member of our security staff who has since been made aware of his actions."

The poor guy got it wrong - clearly he had not been given clear instructions.

But this did not happen.
