Couple of really quick tesco 1000 points question

i know everyone always seems to ask this, but ive never done an online shop before, and im tempted as ive just seen the 1000 extra points thread on a £50 shop.

so, my question, like everyone else asks is...drumroll...

as you have to add 2 of all the bogofs to the basket, it makes it looks twice as big as what it is really.

So, say i found a £25 item that was bogof, id add two as it says and it would make the total £50 so i could use the code.

Expect, when it became time to pay the true total would be £25, would i still get to use the points?

Also, what happens if i make the total up to £50 and items are when the delivery is got for me some are OOS in store, and i dont want substitutes, the total bill price will obviously go down - say i ordered one thing at £10 which was OOS - itd make the total £40, would i still get the points then?

This is why i always shop instore lol, but 1000 points is too good to miss!

I think you get the points on your total before discounts :) So you should be ok..

With regards to the items being substituted - I always say I accept subs, that way the total amount doesnt usually change (meaning the voucher works), and if I dont like the subs I give them back for a refund (you can choose the sub you want though, just write a note saying the alternative you want)

Final total - normally the voucher will still be added because the voucher is added before the multibuy discount is taken off - if this does not happen then call customer services and say that the voucher was applied at checkout but not on receipt - they will add it for you

BTW - if its your first shop then go through quidco for £5

ey up stranger!!!!

you know saxo is the one who'll be able to answer this.

Personally I dont think they do substitutes, if they dont have the item you order you dont get any simple as that.

One answer..and a straight one that will be lol

NO !! to both questions, what goes thru online is only a guide price

you wont recieve the points as the total going thru the checkout has to be £50 or over after discounts

hope that helps Josh

Works with BOGOF offers, as they are taken off after the voucher is added.... (Obviously shouldnt, but does)

Wouldnt work if it was less due to substitutes (which is why I said accept substitutes and then get a refund if they are not suitable)

Personally I thought that it worked with bogofs and if something's oos. Always thought about trying to buy loads of one item and hide it the day before in my local store so that they couldn't pick it!

It does! I've had my shopping delivered this morning and my total is £47.48 with 1047 points added.

Wouldnt work if something was out of stock (unless you got subs) because the total of shopping (before promotional discounts) needs to be the minimum amount. However you can get subs and then hand them back, and it will still work

This isnt meant to work, sometimes tho when cust call up we ask for the coupon code and just add the points
