  Also discussed in another recent thread but too techy for me...and my local geek has got himself a well paid job......so no longer interested :(

  you can buy a copy kit off fleabay ' copy vhs dvd' £25ish, as long as you have a video to play the tape on. Or you could go straight to your pc if it has a capture card installed. Last option would be a dvd recorder which is about £50 for a cheaper one. I have done it years ago to a dvd recorder and came out well.

  actually , i would go for this. has 100% feedback search ( VHS + VHS-C CASSETTE - 8mm & MINI DV COPYING TO DVD )

  i had this done with a load of old "cine reel" of my parents in Australia before i was born.. can highly recomend it..
