Was just wondering what people thought about it? I thought it was a really good mix of stuff.

It sounded awful i thought..........my sister went and said that the atmosphere was non existant for most of it bar a few acts. :-(

Ah well. I thought that the BBC mucked it up quite a bit on tv. it did sound quite quiet in there!!!

It looked pretty good to me. Not usually my bag, but OK. Wembley didn't exactly seem packed though.
#4
It did seem quite empty, but then they had quite a few people sat in the centre infront of the stage.
#5
looked ok but it looked a bit too organised and a sit down event rather than huge crowds everywhere

There was a good mix of acts, but too rehearsed (although the BBC seemed to have a few problems with the sound!) so no spontenatity.

It did look as if there where empty seats to me.

Did anyone else think Elton John looked ridiculous in those trousers at the end?

Also, I did think he would play "Candle in the Wind/Englands Rose" to close. I know he has stated he will never play it live after the funeral but, surely it would have been a nice gesture and appropiate for this.

How embarrassing was Ricky Gervais at the end.

As a stand up comic you would have thought he could have filled for 4-5 minutes.

That was cringingly bad.

Agreed the atmosphere seemd a bit dull. I think they have too many acts on for too short a time. It takes time to warm up the crowd and I would rather see 5 bands play 6-8 songs each than 10 bands play 2-3 songs.

Let her RIP.

These events are getting worse and lets hope it's the last.

i dont think any of their dads were there

I just thought it was totally random; the BBC's editing was shocking as well.
