Credit card fraud

Someone has used my credit card in paypal and easyjet. I haven't registered my credit card in my paypal account. It shows balance as 0. When I called paypal they were not able to trace any transaction with my credit card number or on my emailid which I registered with paypal. They informed me to send the transaction details of the credit card transaction by fax which they will take up. I have already blocked the card with the bank so that no transactions will be done further. Has anybody faced similar issue with Lloyds TSB Master Card? I have also raised a dispute for the 2 transactions done with the Lloyds TSB Credit card dispute department. Please help me if someone have any info on how to go ahead on this. I am leaving the country next week and it has been a pain to get this sorted out so quickly.

Thanks in advance.

Why dont you get the details of the transaction from easyjet and inform the police. If it was for a ticket then surely they can be waiting for the person attempting to use this ticket.

i'm afraid these things can take a while but your bank should give you the money back within a couple of days, once the card is cancelled they will contact the company that the purchase was made with and will request copies of the transaction (from memory they have 45 days to respond i think) this will then show either a receipt with signature in the old days or now it will show that a pin was entered or if online or over phone will show that they gave the 3 digit code on the reverse of the card. as it is fraud they shouldnt know this code as they dont have the card and at this point the company & bank sort it out between them as fraud and take it from there.

the worst bit for you will be that as you had to cancel your card you will have to be issued a brand new one on a new account (if the do a reissue card it would allow the fraud to carry on) so you may be waiting a week or two for a new card.

You have cancelled the card and given all the fraudulent transaction details to lloyds so you have done everything you need to. hope it gets sorted soon.

Exactly.

I checked with bank and still the transaction amount is not processed for easyjet. Still waiting for that to get processed. I have been informed by bank to leave the disputed amount and pay the genuine transactions done.
