I've just checked my credit record for the first time as i was refused a credit card (for the first time!) recently.

I have a linked person as an ex who i breifly had and an account with. It was closed fairly quickly and no balances/ problems. Can i have him removed???

Secondly i have a joint mortgage and house that doesn't show on my record? Any ideas why??

Any help appreciated!!!

which agency credit report did you checked, they may not report to all agencies, I always check all 3 agencies as score may vary in each other...

That was equifax. Experian messed me about when i tried to look some time ago......

Who is the third please.

callcredit is the third one, but experian and equifax are the most important, most companies check experian and some companies equifax or both, try to get one of those bad credit credit card nad manage it well, so your score will increase, I would suggest barclay initial or capital one.
I always use checkmyfile.com to check all three reports..

Thanks - stragely enough i have no bad items on my credit record so don't know why they refused me. apparently paying your cards off in full can cause it!

Indeed, because they don't make any money out of you.
