Credit Rating Help Again lol

Hey i made a thread a while ago about credit ratings and stuff. Need to check mine but was wondering if anyone on here has any personal recommendations? Went onto MSE and im definetly gonna do the free option between Equifax and Experian. Just wondered if anyone on here knew which was better? I was just gonna do the Experian one but if i use Maestro they have to post a PIN to my address meaning i cant check it straight away. But the cancellation number is a free-phone number compared to Equifax.

So any help please would be appreciated

I use this site:
http://www.annualcreditreport.co.uk/
and was able to find out why my CC application was declined. They're free and reliable, and you don't need a CC to register with them!

Thanks for that. Entered it and chose the free option so just gotta wait for the code to be sent.

Any advice on the other two though?

Got the code from that site annualcreditreport.co.uk through the post. Surprisingly quick. However since ive got it and go to the site to login it says page not displayed and there seems to be a problem. Any link on the site just does not work. Hope its not some cheap scam or something? Luckily i didnt give my CC details

Experian is the one i'd go for out of the two main ones.

I am not talking about the ease of their free offers/ease of cancellations/maestro registering etc.

www.creditexpert.co.uk 30 free trial that has to be cancelled to not get charged

Was going to use them but it takes time if you use a Maestro card to register as they have to post you the code. I signed up for that annualcreditreport one as it seemed too good to be true lol. Buts its completely **** lol. Been a week or so and their site is still down

If you'd sent a cheque, you'd already be reading your report now.:)

Just be careful with getting credit checks, as this lowers your credit rateing.

Getting credit checks i.e checking your credit does not "Lower" your credit rating.

Applying for 'lots' of credit within a short time frame will give companies cause for concern.:)

odd that you say that, I have been told by many people, even companies that I have worked for. everytime your credit rateing is checked you loose credit.

This thread is about checking your credit report with the credit reference agencies, not applying for credit. :)

What you have been told is almost correct, but not that simple.:)
