Hi have got to renew my cscs card which means another health and safety test. new card = 30qiud test =17.50 now they want me to buy the health and safety book. I thought id be able to find it online but cant so far Could anyone help me out finding it would be much appreiciated . Im seeing this as just a money making scheme otherwise the book should be free does anyone agree

What test level do you do? I would be worried about anybody on site if they can't pass this test with ease.

I haven't done the test mate, just wanted to post a link to help you out.

I work in H&S enforcement.

Its just the operatives test i have taken it 5 years ago no prob but its been updated twice since then and just wanted to make sure im up on everything in book as you say should be easy most as i remember were common sence there are a few ie from memory like fire hose colours which i think may have changed from then

It depends on the test really as some of the CDM stuff can be tricky for the supervisor tests.

OP search Amazon for it they have some new and used books going cheap but think it might be marketplace sellers

Did the H&S CSCS to supervisory level, the only thing that needed prior reading was what fire extinguisher colour coding denotes. The rest is common sense.

You can buy the book direct from them or try ebay. I borrowed the book from a friend.

The operative test is very easy though. I know my colleagues passed it with ease and most visit construction sites a handful of times a year and wouldn't know an angle grinder from a weld kit.

Does your employer not supply the book & pay for the test? My husband has just renewed his supervisors level one & his employer covered everything.

No my boss did pay for the first one but its up to me to renew it dont think he has any obligations to
