I'm looking into the possilibity of riding what they call the C2C - 140miles, in June/July, possibly for Charity and wondered;

a) has anyone else rode this, or
b) would anyone be interested in doing this either for charity for simply for a leisurely weekend away.

Dont fancy doing it on my own, and interested to see what it entitles.

I know people that have done it - takes around 3 days...

Apparently there is a bank that tests ya.

Done it, its not really a leisurely weekend :giggle: Over 3 days its 40-50 miles per day, some long climbs. Can be done in more or less days if needed (quite a few people do the whole thing in 24hrs, but they are mental.)

Ive done it mate. 1st day set off from barrow to somewhere in the lakes(This has got a very steep incline leading right up to cartmel racecourse), 2nd day lakes to barnard castle (Worst of the 3 days because youve got to go to the top of tan hill which houses the highest placed pub in britain) and lastly barnard castle to sunderland the easiest part of the course). I would definetly recommend a very good saddle as your backside kills lol.

think you've rode the W2W, not the C2C, the W2W is slighty longer! would you up for either?

Yeah C2C goes further North, goes across Whinlatter and North Lakes to Keswick, then across to Penrith, up the Hartside pass and down into Alston then across North Weardale (rather than Teesdale) through to Castleside/Consett. You can finish in Tynemouth instead of Sunderland if you want (stongly recommended :giggle:)...
