I'm sure you need to move it to virus vault to be able to gain control over Outlook again ?
By virus vault, I mean the area where the virus is held by the anti virus software, just check all the Trust Centre settings etc and restart PC.

Failing that, would system restore work ?

please do not take this the wrong way, i cant actually help with your problem as i have forgotton how it works, but i used to use mcafee a couple of years ago and it was awful

if you search for FREE AVG on google you will get the link freegrisoft or something similar - its brilliant, doesnt slow down your pc unlike mcafee and you dont have to subscribe to it and pay every year because it is free

i have used norton (worst ever) and similar in the past, i have now seen the error of my ways
What does "Hollie U" mean, and why would you open it?

Yeah, never open a email you are not expecting or isn't in your address list.

As with above - get AVG free anti-spyware to (just search google). Another things is that you should hardly gt virues anymore. Check your modem/router settings to that you have the firewall turned on. I know some who will argue that you don't even need anti-virus installed anymore cus of how good firewalls on are on modems. But the other compariable arguement is that you don't have to wear a seat-belt either (apart from you'd break the law with that one).

Thank god for linux eh!

Anyway, good luck with searching and destroying.
It went straight into my junk mail, as soon as I received it my Outlook starting popping up that it couldn't download something due to my security settings. Images, html code and downloads are disabled in my Trust centre???

So if it caused all this damage without you opening it, what do we do to stop it happening to us. :?
