My parents in law have phoned to say they won a cruise to greece on the Daily mails scratch cards and they rang the number to get a verification code.
Is this legit?
I looked on the website but can't see anything.
They dont want the holiday and will probably sell but Im not sure if its for real?
Thanks

If it were run by the Mail its unlikely you'd have to ring a number to get a code don't you think? ;-)
Was it a premium rate number?

all scratchcards that are free are cons unless you stole them from a shop

You win ENTRY into the draw but only find this out after spending 5 minutes on a £3 a minute phone line and inevitably win one of 5000 cheap pens.

The card usually says something like 'you may have won a cruise, ring this number to claim your prize'.

They sound a decent honest couple, can you ask them to ring me as I am a nigerian prince desparate to smuggle my families millions out and am looking for a british bank account.

If it's one of the scratch cards that fall out of the paper it will be a total con, each one is a "Winner" to make you phone the £3 a minute line for 7 minutes, £21 later you win a badge!
