One of the worst companies in the world.
And now creates another oil spill. Although fortunately not as bad as the Alaskan spill.
Damn company should be banned forever (Other events they have done)

Hi DarkKnight
I'm sure the only thing that will work is a HEFTY fine ie multi multi millions - just enough to keep them aflloat and they wont do it again. Of course the courts will have to prove liability and even if that fails then hopefully the fear of "one day proven guilty" will be enough to prevent "lazy accidents" again

The world is reliant on oil.

The risks in extracting/transporting/refining etc oil are massive - isolated incidents like this are unavoidable unfortunately.

Yes. But do you know how bad ExxonMobile is? It's not just killing most of the wildlife in Alaska that they are famous for.
And i'm guessing they had another drunken captain again as in the last disaster.

BP is probably worse, in 2002 their chairman announced that all subcontractors would need to reduce costs by 15%. In the 2 years that followed we had fires in Indonesian oil refineries, Texas City refinery blew up, a major fire at a lub oil processing plant in the south of France plus numerous other smaller spills and incidents. That 15% saving cost BP in excess of $30Billion and the bill is still climbing.
