Got builders in at the mo, though I'm doing the flooring in the extension myself.
Speaking to the building regs guy, I need to bitumen the concrete floor and also walls up to the damp course level.
Does this stuff dry hard - or is it always a bit viscous? After laying, I need to add a plastic sheeting so the celotex insulation sits on it.(the building regs guy said this was to be sure the polystyrene doesn't react with the oil based damp course.) All sounds a bit awkward!
Has anyone laid a floating floor? It sounds strange to have a floor of polystyrene covered in floorboards!
