inb4 some sort of reference to the food.
#2
are you asking ;)
#3
12th August.
That was a nice date.

I did when I first met my OH last year, but I'd never call going for a drink or to the cinema or for a meal or something a 'date', far too Americanised for my liking. I prefer what my Grandad used to call it - courting!
#5
People should still go on dates, Romance is dead a lot these days but I think dates are a good time to get to know each other and to spend some nice time together.....

God I'm cheesy :-D
#6
Nah, skip all that schmoltzy rubbish, go straight for the arguements and restraining orders . . . . . . you know, the fun stuff :)
#7
what the score these days on paying, 50 50 spilt ?

I was too young to date when i met my OH so never really done it.

If your a decent bloke you ask someone on a date (candle lit dinner and all that) but my OH just said 'do you wanna go the pub?' - Wouldnt call that a date as such . . .

More modern to let her pay, and hold the door open for you, and push your chair in, and offer you her coat if its cold, and buy you drinks . . . . . . . . . goes down a storm this modern man stuff

Yes.
Students go 50;50
You say something like 'Would you like to see (name of film) at the cinema next (day of week)'?
But it's not Thursday; what's going on?

Why?

why would I pay for her when i prob wont get nothing worth getting if you feel me. Whats in it for me.

I might just let her order off a set menu while I go for the Al carte
#19
to be fair, any decent lass would offer to go 50/50, if they do that you know you're on to a winner - everything equal is the only way IMO

A movie would be good because I would not need to talk to her, it will ask for popcorn and coke though.

Refering to her as "It" denotes a lack of true fondness, and as for coke: http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f38/pooligan/Mr_Mackey.jpg

lol, her company? If she's not worth paying for then don't take her out ;-)

I always offer to pay when I go out on 'dates', but a true gentleman won't take a penny :-D Been a while though :giggle:

'a la carte' asking for Al Carte in a French restaurant isn't going to impress

Why would you wanna take weapons into a cinema? What next, taking the sofa for a more comfy viewing!

If she's fridgid and you won't get anything from it don't pay for any of it yourself.

Order the most expensive things on the menu and just before the bill comes pretend you have a 'phone call' which gives you an excuse to go outside and then just leave her and go home.

She will have to pay for it all but TBH it will be all her fault. She needs to learn these things even it is the hard way.

Ya get ma feel?

nah, I want equality in all respects. I'm there to enjoy her company and she's there to enjoy mine (hopefully anyway!) why shouldn't we split it?

Funnily enough I've said they should have sofas in cinemas more than once! How the hell are you supposed to cuddle the OH with a great big plastic arm thing in the way?
#31
cinema is a pretty safe bet, then take her to a meal, if ur worried about paying for either your pretty tight, if she offers then great for u and shows she wont just take advantage of ur money, probably best to insist that u pay tho, shell like u even more for it.
