Please no. :-(

That thread was getting ridiculous.

FS/FT advice:

1.
Landline telephone number Make a CALL to check out the area code and number are correct too!

Can all those who followed this advice tell the police, the rest read up on advice and rules
#2

Why was the original thread locked? a number of people were scammed out of hundreds of pounds collectively through THIS forum, so why try and prevent them from making everyone aware of the circumstances so all who lost out can bring whoever stole their money to justice? IF there was indeed any inappropriate content it seemed to have been edited/deleted anyway.

I hope you get your money back/and or bring him to justice Hodson and everyone else who lost out, I thought about making offers for some of his stuff so followed what happened with interest, glad I decided not to now.

Poop was not the word used, as you well know, if you condone the language used in hodson post that is entirely up to you, but i for one will carry on reporting posts that contain language like that, and for your information i like others do have my children occasionally sat with me when im reading, and the youngest is five and can read, but i suppose that doesnt matter to some

I spose if you're on the wrong end of a £130 scam you're likely to get a bit angry... best to direct it at the culprit though eh?

It's far too late to say 'told you so' I just hope you all get the (legal) retribution you're looking for.

I've been the police station today and gave them all the details. It has all been passed onto the Fraud Investigator down at West Bromwich Police station. I will be expecting a call from them soon so here how its going. If not, I will be back down there sometime to find out more.

They did seem quite happy with the information I gave them so hopefully things should all be sorted out soon.

I've just had another phone call from him. Conversation went a little like this:

Him: You need to stop calling me.
Me: I havn't called you.
Him: Yes you have.
Me: No I havn't
Him: Yes you have.
Me: When?
Him: Earlier, about half an hour ago...
Me: I've been at the police station. They think theres a case.

He hung up.

Obviously one of you lot is phoning him and it is getting to him. Don't do it too much though, not untill the police get back to me anyway.

Just had another phone call from him and he basically just said "hello" and hung up. He sounded as if he was drugged up though tbh.
#14

Him: "Grrrrr"
Me: "You do know the police are after you, there's an investigation into it all now"
Him: "Hodson, i've got your money, Ive got your money"
#15
And another:

"I love Wii Play mate, its great"

Wii Play is the game I sent aswell as cash.

I don't have anything to record it on to at the moment, suppose I could try my laptop actually.

I am writing it all down though so I will visit the police station again tomorrow to update them.

Most mobile phones will allow you to record the current conversation, if you have a Sony Ericsson its really easy, whilst in a call, press the "more" icon that appears on screen, scroll down to the end and there is a thing that says "Record" hit that and Bobs your Uncle, deal-it's you prey :)

Mike..

I have the LG Viewty. There probably is a way you can record it but I haven't really looked. With the texts I have, its enough to prove he scammed me, he actually admits it. The police can check my call logs with O2 to see that he has been constantly ringing me.

Just popped into the police station and I was told that the fraud officer will be in on Monday and he will call me to make an appointment for me to go and see him :-)
#35
Its all good saying you have proof in the form of text messages, but what if its an unregistered sim card, I myself have half a dozen or so knocking around with a few hundred in credit between them one alone from the bt promotion that was her has £150 another one from same for my OH has £100 plus I still have 10 x £10 top-up codes from same promotion so he may not exactly be wasting credit and tracking him via an unregistered sim is going to be hard, unles he has the sim in his possesion at the time he is busted!

Please update us again, I'm so anxious as to what is happening next.

Does anyone think that once the screenwriters strike is over, there will be a chance of this making it onto the big screen. :)
