it annoys me sometimes people come on here to post deals and you get some people that do not like the deal so they put them down.
if they didnt like them why dont they keep comments to themselves

Personally if someone has something against the deal, then I'd rather know just incase it helps me make a better choice as to whether a deal is a good one or not.

If you mean having a go at the poster, then I agree, although I can understand why some people get frustrated when some posters make the same mistakes over and over.

I agree with nightswimmer, I don't often post deals, as a few I posted when I 1st joined the site got voted cold with no reason behind it. If your good enough to post a deal people could at least let you know why they have voted it cold. You should have to leave a comment in fact if voting cold

ok thanks for the comments its just that there are a few hot deals out there and people vote them cold and run them down i suppose we have different of oppions

this has been going on for a long time, just makes me laugh

As above if someone thinks its a poor deal I would appreciate negative feedback too as it allows you to make a more informed decision, used in thge correct way negative feedback on a deal can be more useful than positive for several reasons including better prices elsewhere, poor retailer service, poor product, superior products at the same or lower prices etc etc

I personally wouldnt vote cold without saying why I have done so, unless its blatantly obvious such as a 2GB sd card at £20 or the likes.

I don't mind people saying things if it's cheaper currently elsewhere. I get annoyed at the people who say 'voted cold as it's a bad film' etc

Totally agree - if the deal is cold, there must be a better one out there and I want to know about it - don't vote cold just because it's not what you would buy!

If you feel that someones actions breach the forum code of conduct in this regard, feel free to use the report button and the mods will be happy to take a look.

When I ever I have voted cold, I always state why....some of the alternative links often deserve a post of their own.....I know I bought from a deal posted as an alternative to the deal that I had posted myself.....I prefer to vote hot or warm, and only ever vote cold if it is blatantly poor....don't actually enjoy voting cold.

how can you report someone who has voted cold and not given a reason why unless you are psychic?

not naming names but they know who they are.

for those that do
amongst reasons...
They don't shop in that supermarket
They prefer pepsi
We don't have that shop

Why get wound up about it? if a deal is good to you then go for it, is the fact that its a bit cold gonna stop you wanting one??? As for the perpetrators.....forums wouldnt be HALF as much fun if everyone got along all peace and roses now would they ;)
#17
People should vote cold if it is not good value or if it is cheaper elsewhere or if it is sold everywhere at that price so it's not a deal.
Any other other reasons such as personal taste should stay just that, personal

here here well said warmapple

yeah i see what your saying warmapple, but why are people so hung up on wether anyone else thinks its hot or not? If its a good deal for you personally then whats to worry about? Dont understand peoples neurosis on it thats all.

Dont think i even notice when a deal is hot or cold, and for a looong time i didnt even know it was there haha!

I'm replying to the OP:

He doesn't mean voting cold? Or does he? I took it to mean dissing the deal, as in a comment in the thread.
