I just checked my balance on my online banking, and its showing ive been charged three times for a item in maplin when I only bought it once, and twice in zavvi which i actually ended ip paying for the item in cash , now in both these stores the transactions didnt go through, and ive got no reciept or anything?
Is there anything I can do?
And also I cant go for about two weeks, to the stores as Im in italy then centerparcs!

I had this problem a few weeks ago, a transaction in somerfield went through twice after the machine said the first one had failed... it took about 10 days for it to correct itself, I asked in my bank and they said wait a bit.. and it did sort itself out... How long has it been?

I had this problen with a CC and they said to ask the retailer to reverse it first then if the retailer didn't co-operate to call them back - the retailer in my case was just the local corner shop and they refunded one of the transactions.

I'd just call the bank and ak them what to do.

We have been having problems with transactions failing recently too, will keep a careful eye on the statements. In fact will check on-line ASAP.

i had several hundred quids worth of travel money go fru 4times at first choice, what i nightmare that was...
one of worst companies ever to deal with. no customer service skills atall. and when i finally got a response from head office there was no sorry, heres summut for ur trouble, just 'oh the store is sorting it'

needless to say iv never used them for anything before that, and damm sure recommend anyone to stay clear.....

luckily i had an overdraft, as when i was away n payments needed to come out, i didnt have the extra almost £1000 int he account to cover it, not when i was away n couldnt move any money about..

i feel your pain, ring the bank/store
