After some research (inc. the WHICH report) we got a BEKO - can't check which model at the moment but it is 7kg and cost less than £250 in October 2010. It is fantastic and washes and rinses extremely well on low temperatures. It has a 39 min quick wash. It has some eco thingy to monitor how big your load is and uses just enough water. Recommended.

I got the Zannussi one for £219 from comet in the sale. Someone has posted it on here somewhere. Great machine and have no problems with it. Hope this helps!

Nah lol i dont sell washing machines etc, strictly laptops, computers or tvs (in the odd occassion). The only time id sell a washing machine etc is if a customer knows what they want so i just process it.

LG make fantastic machines, bought one about 18 months ago and is very quiet with an 8KG washload.
Found one @ BHS direct for £311.

We are on our 2nd Zanussi, have been most reliable for us. Will be sticking with Zanussi.

Replaced my Zanussi Dryer last year.......after 24 yrs reliable use.

After a very reliable AEG washer (18yrs), have been through a few more washers. Seems brand reliability does not mean much now (unless you go £700+). Got a cheap washer and put a 5 yr warranty on it.

Zanussi, Bosch, AEG and Meile are the best, Avoid Hotpoint/Idesit/Ariston like the plague, Beko are probably just about the best of the value brands.

All newer washing machines are made down to a price these days, apart from Miele.

Do not compare with older and far better made machines of the same brand.

AEG is now part of Electrolux, enough said.

Who also own Zanussi your point being? They are still very good.
