decorating my sons room - best places for paint, curtains, blinds etc?

I'm planning on decorating my sons room next week, so I'm on the hunt for supplies! I'm after a few tins of paint (probably blue!) some blackout blinds and some curtains as a starting point, nothing fancy, all fairly plain... I'll be able to pick up accessories like light shades and a rug as I go along to give it a theme - makes it easier to change when he decides he's no longer interested in dinosaurs or spacemen!

Anyone know any good deals on at the moment for the above? or know of any particularly cheap places to buy?

thanks!

I got a lot of prjected paintings done on my 2 y/o's walls. It Looks weel on a White Background.
I have to say it's worked wonders for his sleeping at night as he loves the pictures that are painted.

I'd just try B&Q for supplies

I looked their for the blackout blinds as they seem very cheap in comparison to elsewhere, but I didn't look at paint, but having gone back it doesnt seem like that promotion is on anymore :(

i always use dulux as other brands just dont cover as well. Its worth getting b&q to actually scan a tin of the one you get mixed there for the price as its marked at like £29.99 but whenever i bought it last year when i was decorating on numerous seperate occasions it scanned at about £22.47

If it's paint you want ........look no further than Wickes . I use the Trade range and have done for about 15 years ......... I'm a decorater . Limited in colours in the Trade range but theres , blue ,magnolia, buttermilk and quite a few others and it's only about £15 for 10 litres . Crown & Dulux are about £16 for 2.5 litres . I use loads of the White Matt Trade from Wickes for ceilings .about £10 for 10 litres . Great paint too and covers very well .NEVER had any problems .
