Hi All,

I’ve just been sent the following information on this scam. Just thought I’d make you aware…

Postal Scam:

Can you circulate this around especially as Xmas is fast approaching - it has been confirmed by Royal Mail. The Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following scam:

A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a Premium rate number).

DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize.

If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed £315 for the phone call.

If you do receive a card with these details, then please contact Royal Mail Fraud on 020 7239 6655.

For more information, see the Crime Stoppers website:

£315, eh?

That's bull.

That's bull, but it makes people aware.

But that's bull, and the OP has wasted everyone's time.

But it's bull that makes people aware.

Thread locked.

There, just thought I'd save everyone the trouble. You know how these threads normally go.

Surely the 0906 premium number would have had to be set up by BT and they would have flagged that £315 for a phone call was a scam!! Why aren't BT closing the number if it's a known scam?

You forgot to mention about maybe checking on Hoax-slayer
According to hoax-slayer this scam was shut-down 5 years ago...
£315 my @rse

Some people believe anything lol
wow £315 that's bull :p

its common sense with these kinds of things though
1. throw it away if you know you are not expecting a package.
2. It should say where the depot is based opening times etc and a number on there would be 0845 or 0800 normally. So dont ring up a 0906 number.

you'd just go straight to saynoto0870 anyway.

Only a complete **** tard would fall for this, and they deserve to.
