DELL INSPIRON 1300 Windows/recovery disc needed

Has anyone got a Dell recovery disc for a laptop inspiron 1300..i am willing to hire it or if someone can point me in the right direction it would be great...Need this to wipe a system and start again. Thanks

dell's ship with the OS disc, be it vista or xp, and a recovery partition is included on the hard drive. pressing F6 upon boot i believe accesses this to restore to the factory image. If you havent deleted the recovery partition you should be able to do what you need without a disc i think.

just phone them, there a FN +(Something ) that start the recovery, but say its not working and they send a free copy for your machine

don't you press + (or something like that) on start up to access the recovery partition?
you might be best just trying to get a copy of windows XP, considering the amount of **** that come bundled with the dell systems.

1. Press F8 on startup, advanced boot options menu should appear.
2. Select, repair your computer on the advanced boot options.
3.Select Dell factory image restore
4. In the Dell Factory image restore window, click next.
5. Click yes to select reformat hard drive & system software to factory conditions check box.
