Anyone had any success making the Indian call centre understand about consumer rights in the UK?
Had my m1330 for 13months and now when I turn on the laptop all I get is a white screen which then gets multi coloured. Reading up on it, this is a known issue with the 8400M GS card which it has. The guy on the phone said it is the motherboard and it will need to be replaced and because it is out of warranty I would have to pay. However after reading up on it Dell have extended the warranty by an additional 12months because of this card, a point I couldn't get across.
He also didn't understand about either the Sales of Goods Act or EU Directive which give me as a consumer protection on fault like this.
Waiting for a call back from Supervisor which should be interesting. Anyone think I am within my rights to expect a free repair considering it is only 13months old?
